CWI Media Release:KINGSTON, Jamaica – In an effort to further enfranchise West Indies cricket fans and stakeholders, Cricket West Indies (CWI) President, Dave Cameron and his team will host a townhall meeting at the Kingston Cricket Club (Sabina Park) in Jamaica on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 6:30 p.m.
At the meeting, Cameron will present a summary of CWI’s achievements while sharing how some of the suggestions from previous public sessions have been integrated into the organization’s plans.
Cameron has also extended an invitation to the newly elected top brass of the Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) to field questions.
At the start of the second term of Cameron’s presidency in March 2015, a series of townhall meetings were held in each of the six regions.
Between 2015 and 2016 Cameron and his vice president, Emmanuel Nanthan, hosted meetings in St. Lucia, Dominica, St Kitts, Nevis, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and Jamaica.
“We wanted the board to integrate the public into its decision-making,” Cameron reasoned, explaining that meetings were timed to coincide with international home series matches or when the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) was being played.
Since then suggestions brought forward at the town hall meetings have been incorporated into the organization’s strategic goals and have helped to shape policy on how fans can have a greater impact on the sport.
Common issues that surfaced at past meetings were related to player relations, allocation of funds to national federations, and assignment of matches to venues.
Late last year Cameron visited with cricket clubs and business officials across the region and hosted smaller group discussions. Coinciding with England’s tour of the Caribbean this year, he has held additional stakeholder sessions in Barbados, St. Lucia and Trinidad & Tobago

A nothing meeting, Caemron must really have a low opinion of Jamaicans as he obviously believes the people from Jamaica will fall for this crap.
We want Cemron to provide the following and if he and his board is serious, open and transparent then they should have no problem providing this public right to know information.
1. An audited balance sheet
2. A Financial Statements for the last 3 years from an independent CPA
3. A list of the salaries for all the executives including benefits above base pay
4. Tax Returns for the last 3 years
5. All Payments to vendors for amounts of $1000 and greater
6. Minutes of all board and executive meetings
7. Copy of the contract with Pybus and all foreign agents
8. Records of all correspondence between the board
9. Records of all correspondences between "WIPA" and the board
10. Contract termination with the last 2 coaches
11. All documents related to the abandonment of the India tour and the subsequent agreement with the BCCI
12. Correspondences from board to selectors and selectors to board
13. Copy of contract with selectors

Why do you want to do a COLONOSCOPY/PROSTATE EXAM/MRI/CT SCAN/EEG/ECG/EMG and STD tests on poor Dave Cameron when his Doctor ,Dr. Conde Riley just announced that he is in remarkable health and has such fantastic genes that he will live to be 200 years. Dr. Riley says he is the most perfect human specimen EVER and in 150 years time he should donate his body to science.

I find it very interesting , that
Cameron is now reduced to Begging the
Public for approval .
When he and the Board pulled the Plug
on the India Tour that was in Progress , costing the BCCI Millions of Dollars
I do not recall Cameron & Co being contrite for their decision .
THE ONUS IS ON CAMERON & THE OTHER
MEMBERS OF THE WICBC TO TELL THE
GENERAL PUBLIC HOW MUCH MONEY WAS
PAID TO THE BCCI IN COMPENSATION
FOR CANCELLING THAT TOUR .
Once again the Worst International
Cricket Board in the Commonwealth
wants to Fleece the Public , and when they get Taxpayers money they
then get on their High Horses ignoring the calls for changes in the 90+ years of the archaic Structure of the Worst International
Cricket Board in the Commonwealth .
My take is that Cameron & the Board
are currently on a campaign to once again Fleece Governments & People in the Region , without changing the
1928 Structure of the WICBC .
I am in total agreement with what
Poster Emir has stated above .

Nothing new here
Cameron has always been meeting with the stakeholder territories along with businesses in the region.

Hmmmmm first sentence reads "... fans and stakeholders..."
Herein lies a major issue with the current CWI.
Fans are NOT stakeholders. Ummmm old boys club, ain't?

Politricks, oops, politics is alive and well in West Indies cricket. Whether you like this guy Cameron or not you have to admit he's as slick as an oil spill.

Good to have a town hall meeting where the general public can voice various and varied opinions on what ails the WICB and by extension the West Indies.
The issue in this scheduled meeting, however, is not the timing, but the location. It would've been better politically if said meeting was conveined in St. Kitts, or wherever Skerrett hails from. That would certainly legitimize the gesture.

Well no Draps, a townhall meeting is like giving Tylenol as a main treatment for a cancer patient.
What we want is the total dismantling of the WICBC/CWI system. No need to listen too or talk with any of them unless it is for a time table for dismantling.

Your above statement appears incomplete.
Ok, I'll tell you what's missing. You forgot to table a replacement after the dismantling.
Go ahead and finish the statement, but whatever you do, please don't say the replacement should be made up of Dinas and company.

dude! you need to be advocating for a cancelling of the elections, because these elections will not provide the changes you desire, even if Skerritt wins. You need an interim board to oversee the creation of a new organization.

Okay fair enough but I cannot present a paper for new model in this site, but there have been great work already prepared by qualified people.
And secondly, this isn't about one or two people, I am baffled by your throwing out a couple names, this is about a new governance system to replace the existing plantation model- it is not rocket science.

Brother, I remain bothered that you keep missing the point and the bigger picture. The removal of Cameron is an essential step in the process to dismantle and replace the plantation model.
No one has claimed that if Ricky wins, we will suddenly realize our goals, no, not at all, this is bigger than the individuals. If Ricky wins, stakeholders will have a better chance to begin the reform process leading to dismantling and replacement.
And again, if Ricky wins, we will exert the same pressure on him towards reforms.

Once again YOU are absolutely Correct
in Your Assessment . From a Biblical
perspective ; WE are admonished from
putting New Wine in Old Bottles .
This is precisely why I am of the
opinion that there must be a Serious
& Comprehensive Restructuring of the
Worst International Cricket Board in
the Commonwealth ; aka the WICBC .
WE are saddled by an Entity that is
90+ years old and has absolutely no
intention of changing its Structure;
never mind the fact that WE are currently living in the 21st. Century .
Let me once again state a Freaking Fact . The WICBC & the Regional Cricket Boards are ably assisted by
the Lackeys of the WICBC in the Media . THEY also must be heavily
criticized for their Total lack of
Testicular Fortitude .
THEY have seriously demonstrated that they are as Spineless as Jellyfish , especially regarding West Indies Cricket .

No one is going to win the presidency promising to be a reformer; for that stand is against the interest of the current or sitting board, these guys have too much to lose to support a change agent. No change will come until the organization is changed.

You just don't get it and that is sad. Based on your uttering you seems to have:
a. resigned to defeat and hopelessness- you have given up altogether or
b. you are unable to see the bigger picture which begins with small-incremental steps toward the change we seek.
I implore you to be an agent of the change you wish to see.

Thank you.
We have to keep the fight going and although Skerritt isn't the "father and savior" his victory is a necessary step in the direction towards creating a new path for our governance.

HE is so exalted & High & Mighty that
I seriously doubt that HE would want
to speak to me . I believe that neither of the other Exalted Members of the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth would also
do so .
The salient Question that must be
asked , and Answered is this :
WHERE IS THE FREAKING WEHBY REPORT??
