In reply to nitro
oh come on Nitro we have had this conversation before of the inequalities of the American justice system. This man lied, defrauded and possible committed treason, was granted a very generous plea deal to avoid further trials, which he ultimately broke and the judge decides that the request of 20 years imprisonment is too much for him seriously? While black men get 15-20 on a drug charge? Come on my bro take off your blinders.
In reply to carl0002
Yep
Paul Manafort: I am sorry for what I have done and for all the activities that have gotten us here today."
I wonder if the presidential pardon rules will be reviewed after Trump frees his henchmen?
In reply to Runs
+43 months - seven years - 2 1/2 concurrent.
In reply to Chrissy
Lock him up! Lock him up!
These Judges are really special when it comes to white people. smh
With good behavior and time served he gets out around November 2024,
In reply to Jamstar
He will be pardoned way before it is up
NY just hit him with 16 felony charges - Breaking news
Paul J. Manafort, President Trumps former campaign chairman, has been charged in New York with mortgage fraud and more than a dozen other state felonies, the Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., said Wednesday, an effort to ensure he will still face prison time if Mr. Trump pardons him for his federal crimes.
In reply to Runs
Let's see.
The short sentence may actually hurt him more
In reply to Jamstar
NY has him on 16 fraud felonies
In reply to Runs
Just saw that.
As I said short sentence hurt him badly, had he gotten a heavy sentence or even a fair one then I suspect the New York charges would have been avoided and he could hope for a pardon.
Now he gets to spend the rest of his life being Bubba's bride.
In reply to Jamstar
Could not have happened to a nicer guy
In reply to Runs
Every single one of them going away for a very long time.
In reply to Jamstar
Men chewing off fingernails today or having constant diarrhea
In reply to Runs
But..but. but that is unfair. Illegal!
You cant try a man for the same crime twice!
In reply to nitro
But but but is it double jeopardy? Have you read both the federal and state charges?
In reply to Runs
What exactly did they expect???
In reply to Jamstar
In reply to Runs
So wait didn't Judge Ellis claim last week that he lived an otherwise blameless life. Judge Jackson gave him 7.5 years with a white privilege 2.5 yrs concurrent. Seems like they been conserving on his time to give the Southern district of NY more time when it comes to their sentencing.
And I still think there is a collusion indictment waiting to drop. Mueller will hand over his report with the left hand with indictments in his right hand for the crime family and the rest.
Manafort's charges in Mueller's cases largely related to consulting work he did for a pro-Russia political party in Ukraine years before joining Trump's presidential campaign. But the New York charges involve Manafort's conduct between 2015 and 2017, according to the indictment.
In reply to carl0002
Any and all collusion indictments will come after the Mueller report not before.
In reply to Jamstar
Family members will be indicted
after all is said and done...
so what?
Six more years of Trump!
In reply to Jamstar
I thought that was clear but in case its not, you should know that Mueller is left handed, so obviously he will hand over the report b4 the indictments.
