They really missed a trick. Today is international women's day. There are tens of millions of women and men in India striving hard and they fight the fight every day of their lives to achieve parity for the women and girls in the world's largest democracy.

How great it would have been for them to wear a special pink cap for example, to honor and show support to this great national cause.

Indian cricketers, more so than Bollywood, captures the love and imagination of the nation like no others can dream off.

India NGO's and Indian women are signatories to International Women's day.

It is a shame they instead choose to wear Army caps to highlight the bombing by terrorist base in Pakistan and the following military faux pas.

It really shows how misplaced nationalism can come in the way of real solutions for the masses .

This is a shame really.

Have any of the men's teams playing today done something to honour International Women's Day, curious?

While India's men's team clearly has the largest global reach and fanbase in international cricket, do they really need to be singled out here?
