Would anyone among you clowns be interested in my review of the Netflix show "Cricket Fever" that follows the Mumbai Indians IPL team?
I want to write a quick review with some thoughts but not sure if any would read it.

Yeah, I'll publish a review next week. In the meantime, catch a few episodes and let's see if our thoughts mesh.

I started watching it but i could not finish it cuz it seemed fake. I know its real and the teams are real and they play in a real league but It still seems a bit dodgy and far fetched from reality. Not sure I am using the right words but I did lose interest as there is something unauthentic about the whole thing that I cannot explain. That's just how I felt. I probably watched about 10 minutes of it b4 losing interest.

Oh yeah, the review will be savage. It was terribly produced and sanitized and cringe-y in many places.
But there are some nuggets and interesting observations about coaching, relationships, etc. that I found fascinating.

I am in
I watched a few episodes...lots of focus on the local vs international players, but I guess it's meant for an Indian audience
Interesting stuff between the coaches and players and the thinking that goes on behind the scene
They sure try to keep everyone in good physical shape

Seen 3 episodes thus far. Didnt know about this series sonthanks to asminfor letting us know about it
I like this sort of thing. Similar to NFLs Hard Knocks in concept. Of course a lot of it is staged, its a reality series and thats the nature of that genre. But as Admin said, ther insight into coaching, players habits, etc is fascinating for me.
Highlights and lowlights thus far for me:
Rohit under pressure talking bout the strain of captaincy
Mahela under even more pressure as head coach
The owners young son and how green and naive he comes across
Make no mistake....players, management, coaching staff, ownership....EVERYONE....under a LOT OF PRESSURE to win. For all sorts of reasons.....new team....young owner.....kids.....expectations etc
Subtitles for when Polly & Evin Lewis talk yet no subtitles when the Aussies or any other player talks
The sheer passion of the fans. Amazing!
The fitness trainer calling the young wicketkeeper batsman a dickhead

Depends on your angle - journalistic, moral, cricket "accuracy", story line, etc.

Have you seen Selection Day on Netflix?
I will read the MI review

All good nuggets. There was a moment in one episode (the young 'keeper getting nutrition advice from the lady) where I recalled young Dwayne Bravo telling the WI coaches that "sugar is energy."
I'll write a full review over the weekend.

PS: Mahela is an interesting study as a coach.

You got time to write useless reviews but don't have time to make updates to this site?

Arawak is in charge of site updates. Go yell at him. I agree with you.

Why do you think that is? Was there "subtitle" when an Indian player spoke English?
Go for it!
I watched the entire series
Was like watching a movie in fast forward, Netflix not understanding the sport and the lifestyle left out some important ingredients that makes a cricketer and team
Mahela is too predictable a coach, win or lose
Ownership is another issue
More dedication and honesty came from the fans
