I Hear the Sound of Impeachment Drums
Not far away, not far away
And if they call for Congress to Act
Then Pelosi must start, so we can Watch
So Nancy, Nancy, Lets not Wait
Lets get this Show on before its too late
Now is the Time, for this is all the Time there may be
If you love America Nancy, Nancy give her back Democracy
I Hear Sound of an Election brewing
Not far away, not far away
And if they call for Democrats to Act
Across the Land from Sea to Shining Sea
So Nancy, Nancy Lets not Wait
For the distant Drums might change Americas fate
Now is the Time, for this is all the Time there may be
If you love America Nancy, Nancy give her back Democracy

Read and weep yuh jackass.
The historically low black unemployment rate has become one of Donald Trumps favorite statistical claims, one he is likely to tout again at the upcoming State of the Union address.
The fallacy of touting this as a genuine accomplishment of the Trump administration rather than fortuitous timing has been noted by me and others on multiple occasions. Still, at the start of Black History Month, its useful to provide some facts about the African American labor force that you will probably not hear during the presidential address to Congress.
To begin with, it is true that the 2018 black unemployment rate was the lowest it has been since the Bureau of Labor Statistics began reporting it in 1972. But little, if any, credit for that belongs to the Trump administration. As the graph below clearly shows, the black unemployment rate had been steadily falling since 2011, well before Trump was sworn into office, and the rate of decline has not gained momentum since. Arguably, the decline of the black unemployment rate to its current level has more to do with the Feds decision to keep interest rates at or near zero for an extended period of timedecisions led by the two previous Federal Reserve chairpersons.
