World Relay gold for T&T
Deon Lendore hugs Machel Cedeno as they celebrate with Asa Guevara, left, after T&T 4x400 metres team copped goal at the IAAF World Relay in Yokohama, Japan, Sunday. The team won the event in a world-leading time of 3:00.81.
Machel Cedenio ran the race of his life as T&T's 4x400 metres relay team won the gold medal at the IAAF World Relays in Yokohama, Japan, Sunday.
The other members of the quartet were Deon Lendore, Asa Guevara and Jereem Richards.
In similar fashion to the World Championships two years ago, the Americans were leading by quite a distance before Cedenio pressed the gas in an epic finish for a world-leading time this year of three minutes, point 81 seconds (3:00.81).
He just managed to edge out American anchorman Paul Dedewo, who fell at the finish.

Watch: Glorious gold for T&T at IAAF Men's 4x400 World Relay Finals
Men's 4×400M relay (FINAL) - Trinidad & Tobago | 2019 IAAF World Relays
The race marked Team USA's first loss at the world championships in the men's 4x400m relay since 2003. What's even more incredible about the upset is Trinidad and Tobago didn't land any athletes on the 2017 top 20 list in the 400m, while the U.S. has nine.

Grammar is important Abercromby Street Sarge. If you could spell Abercromby you would have been promoted to superintendent years ago.
Banana solo, sounds like masturbation. Please write it correctly as Banana Solo.

Great job T&T. Hope you guys can be competitive in the big games vs USA as Jamaica is no longer much of a competition!

Cedenio collected the baton from TT's Asa Guevara in third place, well behind leaders USA and just behind Caribbean neighbours Jamaica. The 23-year-old, however, produced a tremendous late surge to move past Jamaica and somehow catch USA on the finish line for the title.
This is the World relay games
T&T just beat USA in the 4 x 400 which they have never lost before.

The more I watch, the more I see a great finish - truth is the US blew it and T&T needs more work on the baton changes. That was one great final lap.

Cedenio is a work horse he escalates at the end in the 400m.

Those who follow T&F closely know about Cedenio since the greatest 400m, some say the greatest race ever run at Carifta (2013 I believe in Bahamas) where Francis, Newbold and Cedenio ran the epic.
Who Wants It More
Since then as Problem Jay noted he has done it a few times at the higher level.
