...up in a hotel room.

Ladies please discuss. Men can chip in too.

Date implies planned well before hand.

In my younger business travel days, I ended up in places I wouldn’t even dare contemplating of doing now, or even some time ago.

But that was a different time, and circumstances later called for change in behaviour.

Would you refer to meeting someone for an interview as a date?

Of course not. You walk into an establishment and the end of the evening, you either ended up at your “date”’s home or she in your hotel room.

Thanks. Worst yet is, if as a woman interviewer your interviewee offers you wine first thing.

Perhaps. But can we get back to more interesting discussion?

It's becoming a bit malaise.

Only malaise can answer this. But if she does not come on this thread to give her views, I will attempt to clarify.

You started it so I think that is unlikely. I will continue to Google. Thought it was about Assange but that did not bear any fruit.

Don't use it on yourself as my good friend does all the time.

Maybe said author does not frequent this website. Or the back room.

It's a good thing Mitch44 did not agree when malaise autocratically deleted a thread here as a moderator in which she (malaise) was quoted.

So yes as a moderator malaise monitors and does her job here in both Front and Back Room albeit with much self preservation.

If a woman accepts an invitation to a man’s hotel room, it’s only natural for a man to assume “some” things.

But the man should not act on his assumptions, unless there is a clear understanding that any subsequent action(s) he undertakes is (are) met with at least her tacit approval.

The main thing here is to move slowly to lower resistance, so that if at any time she cares to object to further action, the man is strong enough to call a halt to proceedings.

If a man is not strong to say whoa to himself when his natural instinct maybe giddy up then he should be prepared to accept the consequences of his subsequent actions.

"Tacit approval" in this Metoo age. You must be kidding. I implore you to get a lot more than "tacit approval." Otherwise as Chrissy suggests and I am paraphrasing here, you will be considered a scumbag.
