I would say, watching the amoount of tonk his alternatives are getting from the Pak batsmen, a very good sign.
I think his position settled. It's the others vying for a spot.

Jofra spot has been booked already! His backups are fighting for theirs!

Why is he a sure pick, what has he done,he played 2 matches in very English conditions, the last one wasn't even good for cricket let alone an ODI.On a good Summer's day there are batsmen waiting for bowlers like Archer,as a batsman I haven't heard much, there is a lot of hype though.

Good sign.
Would not have rested him for the 2nd and 3rd ODI if he wasn't in the world cup squad.
This decision by the selectors tells me he is in.

So which one of Chris Woakes's mates and tight-knit buddies will make way?
In reply to Tryangle
Put their names in a hat and pull one. Talent trumps all that tight knit crap. England will try to field the best eleven so the very talented young neophyte will play.

Yep. England are desperate to at last win the World Cup and this is their best chance yet. Of course if they fail Johnson will become their new Pogba, but until then...
In reply to Logic
Johnson???
