Mohammad Shahzad is retiring hurt having felt something in his left knee over the past few deliveries. Warm applause from the crowd to celebrate their superstar opener. And in comes Rahmat Shah

In reply to Ray123 good coaching?

Ray123 2019-05-24 14:13:31

In reply to natty_forever

Probably, that always helps

Mean to tell me AFG has more resources and cricketing insight than WI? Maybe factors specific to the individual and society play a greater role in their progress. It's not always about coaches, and structures, and systems.

I'm not sure about that. I understand it's the often cited reason, though.

19 year-old Hasnain bowling 95 MPH inswingers. Can you coach that, or build structures to achieve it? cool

darthvader 2019-05-24 15:10:23

In reply to Sangfroid

Why you people are obsessed with 90MPH bowlers while in modern era they are hit all over the field. Bowling fast without control, line and length will be hit all over the park. During my childhood my coach use to say it is very easy to hit fast bowlers rather than spinners and its the fact. Too fast without line and length is recipe for a disaster.

Sangfroid 2019-05-24 15:20:31

In reply to darthvader

Not sure who "you people" are, but I do know that to a fair degree one can teach control, line and length, he cannot teach someone to bowl fast. Further, under the right conditions, and more often than not, fast bowling makes a greater impact on the game than spin ever can. There is a great body of data to support this.

Btw, was your coach Carlos Brathwaite? lol

try answer the question.

Sangfroid 2019-05-24 15:27:00

In reply to natty_forever

The obvious answer is no, you cannot. Coaches, structures, and systems play a supporting role in the development of a cricketer. But just that, supporting.

Sangfroid 2019-05-24 15:30:00

AFG 167-2 (30)

I bet neither you nor anyone you know can bowl fast.

Afghanistan require another 84 runs with 6 wickets and 16.0 overs remaining

Sangfroid 2019-05-24 15:51:44

If AFG goes on to win this game, as they should, Jason will be under increasing pressure to justify his take on the WI v. AFG game. He seems to have a knack for putting his foot in his mouth.

Sangfroid 2019-05-24 15:53:50

At Cardiff, SRI 160-3 (27), chasing 338.

AFG vs PAK

Wahab Riaz to Hashmatullah Shahidi, 1 run, yep, big time reverse, into the left-hander. And Shahidi, thanks to his partner is prepared for it. He's able to squeeze a low full toss tailing into off stump away through midwicket

SA vs SL
Phehlukwayo to de Silva, OUT, slower ball, swings wildly across the line, it was full and straight and knocked the off stumps out once the batsman missed
DM de Silva b Phehlukwayo 5 (17b 0x4 0x6) SR: 29.41

What a difference.
