Why?
In reply to Discourse
These guys play without fear. Absolutely love their attitude.
In reply to Ray123 good coaching?
In reply to natty_forever
Probably, that always helps
In reply to Ray123
Mean to tell me AFG has more resources and cricketing insight than WI? Maybe factors specific to the individual and society play a greater role in their progress. It's not always about coaches, and structures, and systems.

Meanwhile at Cardiff, Ngidi bowling a really hard ball. 2-6 (3.3).
In reply to natty_forever
I'm not sure about that. I understand it's the often cited reason, though.

AFG 119-1 (19).
19 year-old Hasnain bowling 95 MPH inswingers. Can you coach that, or build structures to achieve it?
In reply to Sangfroid
Why you people are obsessed with 90MPH bowlers while in modern era they are hit all over the field. Bowling fast without control, line and length will be hit all over the park. During my childhood my coach use to say it is very easy to hit fast bowlers rather than spinners and its the fact. Too fast without line and length is recipe for a disaster.
In reply to darthvader
Not sure who "you people" are, but I do know that to a fair degree one can teach control, line and length, he cannot teach someone to bowl fast. Further, under the right conditions, and more often than not, fast bowling makes a greater impact on the game than spin ever can. There is a great body of data to support this.
In reply to darthvader
Btw, was your coach Carlos Brathwaite?

In reply to natty_forever
The obvious answer is no, you cannot. Coaches, structures, and systems play a supporting role in the development of a cricketer. But just that, supporting.
AFG 167-2 (30)

I bet neither you nor anyone you know can bowl fast.

Afghanistan require another 84 runs with 6 wickets and 16.0 overs remaining
If AFG goes on to win this game, as they should, Jason will be under increasing pressure to justify his take on the WI v. AFG game. He seems to have a knack for putting his foot in his mouth.
At Cardiff, SRI 160-3 (27), chasing 338.
Afghanistan require another 66 runs with 6 wickets and 13.1 overs remaining
AFG vs PAK

Its not only Holder. It's every West Indian player that open their mouth.
I honestly cannot recall a time when one of our players said something that came to pass...

In reply to Sangfroid
I haven't heard that"hard ball"since I was a little boy in Trinidad.
Weird how many cricket supporters are shocked by Afghanistan being able to beat Pakistan in this format.
In reply to Tryangle Poupah, the Afghanis are making more of an impact on debut, than when the Banglas & Zimmers were, nah?
