Trinidad and Tobago all-rounder Dwayne Bravo says he wanted to be a part of the West Indies squad for the ICC 50 over World Cup but captain Jason Holder felt it wasn't right. The 35 year old who retired from international cricket last year, has not played an ODI for the Caribbean side since 2014, but was named in a 10 man reserve list for the tournament.

Agree with your comment, Bravo want to be at the WC party, he has not participate in WI cricket for a while, how could he justify his inclusion at the expense of someone more deserving.

It was not Bravo's fault he didn't not play ODI cricket for years

Brung refused to pick him....Brung told him he was poison

Bravo had repeatedly publicly declared he was available to play....but was blanked series after series

Alyuh don't stifle alyuh conscience.....as they did for Sammy....any competition for Holder's captaincy had to be eliminated...by hook or by crook

Clive lloyd and Brung appointed Holder captain out of the blue....good for him he has upped his personal performances....his cappoship remains poor...he doesn't have a clue especially in the limited overs game

I am saying Holder is the current bobolee....his time for licks will come too...and his protection will be removed

The old folks in my district use to say "the day does run until night catches up with it."

It seems it finally caught up with Dwayne Bravo.

I am sure some of these guys could remember when Holder took Cameron to task for not including this same Dwayne Bravo.

Maybe some here are suffering from cognitive skills.

The interview does not support the headline that Holder blocked Dwayne;s inclusion in the team. Again false and sensational headlines.

The person who should have been complaining should be Samuels. He did not reject the WI when they asked the experienced players to help them qualify.

And he did more than enough for them to win that WC T20i.
I do not see why they would have rejected Samuels and include that two-bit pony.


Mason and guest will let it hang out tomorrow, I hope, if that panel is honest they should call a spade a spade.

agree Samuels earned his pick, if they can find a spot for Bravo and Pollard in the extend squad, then they should have found one for Samuels

Maybe someone can explain to me why DJ Bravo get so much air play on this forum.
Here are some facts on Mr. Bravo
1. DJ Bravo haven’t played an ODI since Oct 2014.
2. He is 36.
3. DJ Bravo has retired from international cricket I have not heard any official announcement saying he has rescinded that decision
4. He averages 25 in 164 ODIs and 199 wickets
5. DJ Bravo and other were asked to participate in the last Super 50 qualify for the WC he played 6 matches and average 18 and took 7 wickets
6. DJ Bravo for what ever reasons decline to play in the WCQ.
So why does DJ Bravo and others think he is some 50 Over superstar?
So why does DJ Bravo think he could have a chat with the captain Jason Holder to say I could be available for the WC, not that he was available, but He could be available and expects to walk back into the team at the expense of someone else. This is same man that retired 8 months ago.
So why does DJ Bravo think that on the eve of the WC he could make various comments about the captain and the selectors and it would not have any impact.
Mr. Bravo my advice to you is to drop the ego, support the present WC team and going forward participate in regional tournaments where you could share your knowledge and experience to the young T&T players.

Mark my word, this cantankerous guy is gonna do everything to destroy the cohesiveness of this very fragile team. As I said, I will be rooting against the West Indies if Dwayne Bravo is in the team.
