Fan who shove Lowry is a Warriors investor

WI_cricfan 2019-06-06 19:29:46

his name is Mark Stevens
The man who shoved Kyle Lowry after the Toronto Raptors point guard's attempt to save a ball from going out of bounds during last night's NBA Finals game wasn't just any fan.

The Golden State Warriors identified him in a statement issued Thursday as team investor Mark Stevens.

Stevens won't attend the remainder of the finals.
"Mr. Stevens's behaviour last night did not reflect the high standards that we hope to exemplify as an organization," the statement read.

"We're extremely disappointed in his actions and, along with Mr. Stevens, offer our sincere apology to Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors organization for this unfortunate misconduct."

So they took the steps because he was part of the organization...hmmm.

While the other Organization allows their rep to do whatever?

I do not agree with the guy pushing Lowry...but that is still quite tame.

what exactly is tame?

I bet if a player does the same to a fan, he may be banned for half the season

Does whatever include assault like what the dude did to Lowry? rolleyes

The fact you're comparing a dude being an annoying twat (much like you) with a dude actually putting his hands on someone and shoving them, tells us everything we need to know about you.

Did i say he was right to shove him? Lowry is the one who brought up that the guy shouted profanities...like this is something new.

You can understand a fan or employee getting caught up in the moment and reacting by pushing a player who ends up in the stands...Ban him for life? Really?

While Toronto have their rep on the court and in players faces and nothing?

rolleyes

Warriors Apologize For Part-Owner’s Confrontation With Toronto’s Kyle Lowry

“I have not seen the play,” Kerr told reporters. “I didn’t see it last night. I saw the commotion afterwards. But I haven’t seen a replay. I didn’t even really know the story until this morning. I know our organization has put out a release and I will let the release speak for itself. I will also personally apologize to Kyle and to the Raptors. It’s unacceptable.”

NBA Executive Vice President for Communications Mike Bass echoed the Warriors sentiment, saying “the conduct of Golden State Warriors investor Mark Stevens last night was beyond unacceptable and has no place in our league.”

And Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James said he just couldn’t remain silent on the matter.

“There’s no place for that,” Lowry said. “He had no reason to touch me. He had no reason to reach over two seats and then say some vulgar language to me. There’s no place for people like that in our league.”
