his name is Mark Stevens
The man who shoved Kyle Lowry after the Toronto Raptors point guard's attempt to save a ball from going out of bounds during last night's NBA Finals game wasn't just any fan.
The Golden State Warriors identified him in a statement issued Thursday as team investor Mark Stevens.
Stevens won't attend the remainder of the finals.
"Mr. Stevens's behaviour last night did not reflect the high standards that we hope to exemplify as an organization," the statement read.
"We're extremely disappointed in his actions and, along with Mr. Stevens, offer our sincere apology to Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors organization for this unfortunate misconduct."

Fan who shove Lowry is a Warriors investor
In reply to WI_cricfan
So they took the steps because he was part of the organization...hmmm.
While the other Organization allows their rep to do whatever?
I do not agree with the guy pushing Lowry...but that is still quite tame.
In reply to Ayenmol
what exactly is tame?
I bet if a player does the same to a fan, he may be banned for half the season
In reply to Ayenmol
Does whatever include assault like what the dude did to Lowry?

The fact you're comparing a dude being an annoying twat (much like you) with a dude actually putting his hands on someone and shoving them, tells us everything we need to know about you.
In reply to JahJah
Did i say he was right to shove him? Lowry is the one who brought up that the guy shouted profanities...like this is something new.
You can understand a fan or employee getting caught up in the moment and reacting by pushing a player who ends up in the stands...Ban him for life? Really?
While Toronto have their rep on the court and in players faces and nothing?

Warriors Apologize For Part-Owners Confrontation With Torontos Kyle Lowry
NBA Executive Vice President for Communications Mike Bass echoed the Warriors sentiment, saying the conduct of Golden State Warriors investor Mark Stevens last night was beyond unacceptable and has no place in our league.
And Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James said he just couldnt remain silent on the matter.
Theres no place for that, Lowry said. He had no reason to touch me. He had no reason to reach over two seats and then say some vulgar language to me. Theres no place for people like that in our league.

Yeah that is what Classy organizations do....The non classy ones allow their reps to do whatever.
This is my issue...but Drake can step on the Court with his vulgar language?
I tell you!
In reply to sgtdjones
Dude is trying to compare a dude yapping and trolling with one who commits physical assault.
Wouldn't be surprised if the GS plantation owner started saying the n-word and then catch himself at the last minute.
In reply to JahJah
So why is lowry crying about vulgar language...There were lots of fans "pushing" him...he only made an issue because that one was vulgar.
Ooooh, Kyle alluding to that live now in a press conference.
The undertones.
The undertones.
Ayemdull will be fuming!
In reply to Ayenmol
Because he knows/suspects where that dude's attitude is coming.
Massa days done eh. Well, not for you.

In reply to JahJah
Ayemdull is unwinding, he losing it.
He better go and read his lil black book of fables.

Ayenmol is just fine....I will continue to rile you all up and expose your bias!
Suh the NBA slap him with a $500K fine and a ban for one year from all NBA games. Is that too harsh?
In reply to Kay

In reply to Kay
