Women's World Cup,..
In reply to Ayenmol
Definitely!
Come on, Reggae Girlz!
In reply to mikesiva
Are they good?
In reply to Ayenmol
absolutely
Fox says the US and France are favorites...How do they stack up?
I for one would like to see someone other than the US win.
In reply to Ayenmol
US, as always, the behemoths of the sport. Maybe somebody will upset them like Japan a few years ago.
I've heard France and maybe England are the only real other contenders - Brazil are aging, Germany haven't reached the heights of a few years ago. Norway's missing their best player because of differences with their FA, haven't heard anything about Japan (or China) of late. Sweden used to be good but again, no news lately. Canada has its rivalry with the US but are always underdogs. I think Holland has been improving.
In reply to Ayenmol
Higher than Dominica
In reply to JahJah
Am sure.
Anything else mr. Hurt feelings?
France up 2-0 vs S korea.
They even have a female Pogba...
France now 3-0....Lady Pogba with another deadly header off a set piece.
Am loving it!
Plus she has my dad's name, sort of, Renard...Benard.
Womens football at this level is very entertaining...I watching as many as possible
In reply to Oilah
definitely.
There are few sports i enjoy seeing women play....Tennis, volleyball, Gymnastics, Swimming.
Soccer has been lagging in terms of skill...The product looks pretty good so far.
S Koreans trying a ting but not able to connect.
They say there's no resurrection?
Henry in ayou runtun...
4-0
Very entertaining game. That French team is good.
When do the Reggae Girlz play?
//
In reply to Ewart
I heard mentioned a few games for tomorrow but did not hear Jamaica called...did hear Nigeria though.
Women's World Cup schedule.
In reply to Ayenmol
Thanks. Sunday at 9.30 am. I will have to tape it. Church time.
//
In reply to Ewart
Thanks for answering my question too...I was wondering what time it showed...seems it udates to the viewers location.
Germany/China...Germany trying to play the short passing beautiful game .Slow kinda loading and no crowd involvement.
Not too exciting...0-0
Half.
China had the hall beat and wide open goal...hit the post.
Marta out vs Jamaica.
Plus. Word is that the Brazilians ate showing age.
Can Jamaica make a dent?
64th...
Germany is much bigger.
Plays fundamentally.
Little individual play past that.
Germany been physical. Toouch for me. Uses upper body to push opponent of ball aggressively but no fouls called...
Goal... straight shot on goal from wide open spot....
Germany 1-0
Apparently Jamaica is one of four debutantes....
Am not expecting much.
In reply to Ayenmol
South Africa took a 1-0 lead against Spain, and then gave away two unnecessary penalties.
In reply to mikesiva
Debitantes also...got stuff going on so unable to watch...
In reply to Ayenmol
Norway giving Nigeria a hiding.
Breakfast in Paris....Australia vs Italy.
Italy got a breakaway goal, adjudged offsides....it was not in my opinion but did not stand.
Capitano gives up penalty...
Oh my gosh...Goaly save's it...but rebounds right to penalty taker and second effort into the net....
Aus1-Ita0
Italy another great opportunity...Goaly only to beat...saved.
Italy steals ball in box, dribbles past defender and drops it into goal....1-1.
Italy has demonstrated true grit today.
Australia was favored but Italy has shown the ability to win individual matchups and skill in open space...
Italy scores in stoppage time....wins 2-1.
Kahdijah Shaw...pretty as silk
In reply to Oilah
Bra1 Jam0
Brazil in constant attack...Jamaica ranked lowest in WC...
Jamaican goalie seems to always put herself in the right position...keeping it respectful so far.
Again the goaly...wow....
Shaw-s got a Boom!
Wow.. what a rocket!
Brazil getting g numbers into the box, usually wide open....goaly and miscues saving Jam.
Shaw with a chance on a rebound...big second save by Brazilian goaly...
Save!
Schneider is a boss!
Save on a well hit penalty!
Jamaica getting chances now...but a bit anxious and not playing a consistent attack.
Jam keeping the pressure on...Braz got to stay honest..
Bolt tweets "yes mi keeper"...
Game recognizing game.
The ladies overall in the tournament to me have been poor on their passing. Particularly deep to midrange.
Brazil scores again...again advancing players running free in the box.
Schneider missed a ball going across goal...
Brazil 2 Jamaica 0
Jam players never running free in box as Braz...no clean looks at goal like Braz has...every dangerous ball into the box sees two Brazilians open with a chance.
For the declaration that Jam is the lowest ranked team, their play has not been as bad as what you'd expect relatively from the men's draw...speaks to the overall level of play, but also that the game is growing in a balanced manner.
Jamaica is being beaten in fundamentals and discipline.
Fixable..Jamaicans are way bigger at most if not all positions.
BRA 3 Jam 0
Another big save by schneider...she kept this respectable....soo many wide open opportunities for Brazil.
Give Shaw those opportunities? I think, just from what little i've seen of her capabilities, she 's the star of the tournament...
Another thing I notice...the women go out of their way to not fall on their chest...end up on their shoulder.
These women are going to feel it later.
In reply to Ayenmol
That sums it up perfectly. They have potential to learn from this I hope.Fundamentals, fundamentals should be at the
fore for the coaches. Are they capable tho.. ?
Did not watch after the half..Turned full time to watch some big man cricket..India and OZ. Still watching.
In reply to Ayenmol
Proud of the Girlz....
Let's see how well they do in their next match.
Schneider was outstanding today.
These girls shorts are too long.
In reply to nitro
Would you rather watching them in bikinis - as in beach volleyball...
Yuh just want fi si more skin/flesh .... Perv!!
In reply to mikesiva
Concerned that Brazil has been so bad before this...we shall see if this I a bad Brazil killing the girls or if indeed this was a good effort vs a strong team.
In reply to Ayenmol
It's hard for debutants. The likes of Jamaica and Thailand will be getting baptisms by fire but will come out of this all the stronger.
In reply to Tryangle
Argentina hold Japan to a goalless draw.
In reply to mikesiva
Japan has good ball movement and control - but cannot score. Inside or just-outside the 18 yard they have no game - no shooting. The accurate short passing in that box is impossible if you have 8 Argentinians in it - so shoot to goal as often as can in there - not passs around. Their shot count was low. Cant win if you not shooting at goal.
In that second half Japan should be taking shots a bit more outside the BOX to test the GK.
I saw very little...in bed flulike symptoms.
But what I saw was Japan dominate the ball in Argentine half but not threaten much....
It reminded me of why i did not watch the Sport in prior years...the physical ability.
In reply to Ayenmol
Pile up on spices, citrus type foods and liquids .. prayers not going solve that problem

5. Ginger
home remedies for flu
Ginger that helps you deal with many health problems also helps you treat flu effectively.
Ginger is the first thing you should remember when you want to look for natural home remedies for flu. The ginger has delicious, spicy taste and contains warming effects. Therefore, it is often added in a variety of foods for flavor. But not many people know that ginger possesses many health benefits. It is due to the presence of aromatic constituents such as piperine (available in black pepper) and capsaicin (available in chilies). Gingerol in ginger is beneficial in relieving congestion. It alleviates the inflammation caused by flu or many health problems. The warm nature and the powerful anti-inflammatory properties of ginger help treat various the flu symptoms. In addition, it helps speed up the immune system to kill off viruses that cause flu. For the better results, what you need to do:
Prepare ginger tea by adding freshly grated ginger (one-half teaspoon) to boiling water (one cup) and allowing it steep for some minutes. Then add some honey and drink this tea 3-4 times a day.
Another option is to combine 2 teaspoons each of bayberry bark and grated ginger root and powdered cayenne (one teaspoon). Add the mixture (one teaspoon) to boiling water (one cup). Let it steep for 30 minutes and then strain it. You had better drink this several times per day.
Or simply, you can grate fresh ginger and then eat a small amount a few times per day or add slices of ginger to your soups and other dishes.
When you use ginger to treat flu, you should consume enough fluids and drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to prevent dehydration.
6. Home Remedies For Flu Using Honey
Honey is considered as one of the best home remedies for flu. Honey helps boost the immune system as well as helps reduce the common flu symptoms. It also contains antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that can enhance the healing process. Here are detailed directions to use honey for curing flu: [1]
Simply, take honey (one tablespoon) with water (a glass) several times a day.
Mix honey (one tablespoon) in hot water (one cup). If you want, you can add lemon juice (a few drops). The soothing drink will enhance mucus flow and help decrease itchiness and irritation in your throat. It is suggested to drink it 2-3 times a day.
Another choice is to mix equal amounts of onion juice and honey. Have this mixture (one teaspoon) three times a day, till the flu is gone.
Alternatively, you can combine honey (one teaspoon) with the juice extracted from ten to fifteen fresh basil leaves. You had better take this once per day.
Precaution: Honey had better not be given to kids under age 1.

Let the footie thread remain for footie nuh man....
Thailand getting crushed by US...just totally outmatched. I thought Cameroon was bad but this team ....ouch.
3 goals in about 3 minutes for the US...6-0
Thai goalkeeper....I think I could do better....she just stands there.
Another goal...4 in literally 4 minutes...goaly could not stop a shot that was 3 feet from her...
Somebody call uncle!
USA 9 Thailand 0
Make it 10-0
13-0....
Finally, whistle blew...5 goals to Alex Morgan.
Target practice. US never laid off...did not care for the humiliation myself.
Oh well.
Lawd dem doan have a mercy rule
In reply to Ayenmol
Goal difference matters.
TriniD was waiting fuh Alex tuh stop de ball on de goal line wid her foot, den bend down and head de ball in. One of TriniD's fav moves.
Maybe next game.
hope they did not use up too many goals in this game.
In reply to Trinidave
Matters to whom? You could play 2 more World cups and not need that many.
It ain't like they got s tough draw, heck the entire field does not make a tough draw for this team!
In reply to Trinidave
De bend down part?
In reply to Ayenmol
For the US it's basically, when the Sweden game comes around, do they approach it to try and avoid France in the QFs or just play to win. I think they'll play to win.
Well I do not know how Thailand qualified for the tournament, the Asian league must be very poor, they looked horrible yesterday.
Nigeria!
//
In reply to Ewart
How she got the ball in goal from that angle is ridiculous.
In reply to dayne
The Daenrys Dracarys comparison made me laugh
In reply to Tryangle
that's funny
In reply to Trinidave
Alex is sexy
I find that I have to temper my frustration or tendency to criticize because of the lack of speed of the players. My mind is in sync with mens football and I often expect the women players to do things and get to balls that they don't do because they are just not that quick. Just saw a Spanish striker get behind de last two German defenders and it looked as if she was running in slow motion and as a result didn't even get off a shot on what appeared to be a clear chance.
In reply to Oilah
Yep....another one just missed goal completely also.
It is a different game for sure...but the quality is improving...I saw Alex Morgan with a couple plays on goal yesterday that was wow.
You are starting to see more skill rather than breakdowns and scrums.
This Spanish team is one of the most technical I have seen so far...just not finishing at goal.
In reply to Ayenmol
Impressed by the quality of both teams and Spain got a couple of very skillful players
In reply to Oilah
Very good quality... Spain is Spain...same buildup and technical approach as the men .
Germany is the quick strike powerful passes and great runs on the ball.
In reply to Ayenmol
Spanish defender like she pun a Sunday stroll and let de german player come from behind to score...slower than slow
In reply to Oilah
Keeper was not much different...she just stood there also wit5h the ball inches from the line...
In reply to Ayenmol
I would imagine you have been shaking your pom-poms enjoying the over the top US Womens celebrations against Thailand eh.
In reply to XFactor
Already commented it was too much...but am sure you could have reacted before the media told how.
Brazil up 2-1 vs Australia.
Most competitive game of the WC so far...Aus 2 Bra 2.
Wow...Australia score again...Aus 3 Bra 2....
This is the Brazil I accustomed to...shitty in defense
Brazil's keeper is cute and crappy
In reply to Oilah
Does not bode well for Jamaica....
In reply to Ayenmol
China beat South Africa 1-0.
In reply to mikesiva
Busy doing some work and missed that one...thanks for the update.
Japan vs Scotland.
Japan 2 Scotland 0 at half.
The Scots having real trouble penetrating the Japanese def.
Japan able to get multiple shots on goal and benefited from a tame takedown for penalty.
Jamaica taking licks...4~0.
Italy pouring it on...Swiss cheese Jam defense getting worked...
5-0 after Italian practically walk the ball into goal.
Two very good goals Dutch first and Cameroon a few minutes later
In reply to Oilah
Tese African Nations. male and female, needs to concentrate on building a consistent attack and relying less on speed and individual skill.
Too many time the player looks left, no one, looks right, no one...then sprays a shot in the vicinity of goal and chance snuffed out!
In reply to Ayenmol
Germany and Spain advance to the knockout stage, while China go out....
In reply to mikesiva
Missed the games today...The expected teams are advancing.
In reply to Ayenmol
All of a sudden you interested in Women's football.
DWL
I guess we all need distractions and coping mechanisms for pain!
In reply to JahJah
hehe
he soon back to lebron bashing
All you doh know to leave well enough alone..
I leave alyou celebrate alyou gift in peace, still alyou harassing meh....
I soon drop the shoe on ayou parade....doh rush it.
In reply to Ayenmol
France beat Nigeria 1-0 courtesy of a controversial penalty.
In reply to mikesiva
Missed every game today. Will be back at semi leisure on hump day...at least afternoon .
France could not do better than that?
Not sure who can knock the smug off the Americans face.
At least Jamaica scored a goal in the last match.
Australia win 4-1.
That Cameroon forward is incredible on the ball...she dissects the defense like no one alse i have seen in the game...each team i have seen her against, they cant contain her.
Incredible run by Netherlands player...resulting in a goal...
own goal by Cameroon...is that their secong of the tournament?...smh.
Goaaaaaalllll...Cameroon what a brilliant play in the box to win it in the final minute!
In reply to Ayenmol
USA beat Sweden 2-0.
In reply to mikesiva
Early games had all the action today....late games were meh...
In reply to Ayenmol
Knockout stage now.
Germany beat Nigeria 3-0 and Norway edge Australia on penalties.
In reply to mikesiva
War anyones game. once it went to penalties, the Aussies were putrid.
French player did so well breaking down the defense, passes to the wing with all sorts of space and helpp...wasted...
Not this time...gooaaalllll!
That girl for France loves to run at goal and is tremendous with the ball at her feet...man she breaks down that defense with aplomb.
Diani...superb player with the ball at her feet...
France has been the better team...great goal.
In reply to Ayenmol
England beat Cameroon 3-0 in a hot-tempered match.
1 - 1 US v Spain
In reply to ray
Not able to watch, but am not surprised...I identified Spain as the most technical team of the Tournament.
The US has fire power and is the best finishing team near goal...
In reply to ray
USA are off colour, but came through with a second half penalty...2-1.
Bye Canada...no parade for you....
In reply to Ayenmol
Yep, you've been turned back at the border. It's too obvious.
In reply to Ayenmol
Maybe but today Spain played very aggressive deciding that they would take theirt chance and leave it to the refs to decide what was overly aggressive. It nearly worked. The Americans were thrown off their game.
In reply to JahJah
I have never even thought about going to Canada, much less live there...am guessing 90% of West Indians would choose the US over Canada....most of you ended up in Canada because you could not legally get into the US.
Don't be an idiot.
In reply to Ayenmol
Dude, from age 2 to 19 I spent each of my entire summers in the Bronx!! I had the opportunity to migrate to the USA. I had the opp to go to uni there before that. I chose to head off to the UK instead after spending just one trip there via the Joyst program a year earlier. In fact, I was going to stay in the UK and EU before migrating to Canada instead. I ended up coming back to the EU to live for a decade after acquiring CAN citizenship.
Your land of obesity and gun lovers is overrated.
Should I surmise that the only reason most WIndians rushing to the USA is probably for the prospect of EASY $$$? Nothing else. There is more to life than easy $$$.
Even to this day, since the late 90s when I migrated to Canada, I can count the amount of times I have gone to the USA (mostly to carry my kids to Disney and that sort). Quick dip in and out journeys. Canada or Europe are better places to LIVE.
Suck on that.
Face it. You tried to get into Canadia via the Highly Skilled Migrants programme and got denied. Then you got lucky when a relative in the USA took pity on your and filed for you. lol
Don't be you? You don't have to worry about that.
In reply to JahJah
Man I read your post here, especially the last one - and it all read like Zenos Arrow paradox
In reply to JahJah
Bronx?
First time i went to the US i spent time with relatives in the Bronx...hated it.
Bronx? Also lived in White Plains...and Brooklyn.
Did not like it.
How many cities in Canada have you lived?
So far Italy has looked to be better...China had a few opportunities, but definitely not seem as dangerous as Italy.
Why do the women keep slipping on the field?
Every game there are multiple players going down ...i dont see that in the mens game, even when raining.
What's the deal there.
In reply to JahJah
Did you live in Sweden for a bit? Or am I mistaken?
Either way, both Canada and Sweden have better "socialist" healthcare systems than the US.
Europe having the edge over Asia today.
Italy beat China 2-0, and Holland leading Japan 1-0....
In reply to mikesiva
Better socialist healthcare system does not mean better healthcare.
Japan missed on a great opportunity...
In reply to Ayenmol
Hope it's not a turf issue. Last WC there was controversy because the women were playing on the fake stuff.
In reply to Tryangle
I have never heard it brought up and it seems to happen in everygame...lack of body control?
Balance issues...strength issues.?
In reply to Ayenmol
Well, I have friends who've experienced both the US and the UK healthcare systems, and they all unanimously agree that the UK healthcare system is better. One British friend of mine, who used to work in the NHS in England, had the misfortune to take ill in Florida, and her tale of American healthcare, and the disaster of trying to claim back from health insurance companies, is a horror story!
I currently benefit from the NHS in the UK, and I'm much happier than my best friend who lives in Miami, and has to deal with health insurance and the problems surrounding his healthcare issues.
Let me put it this way...I plan to go back to Jamaica soon to spend the autumn of my years, but if I develop serious health issues, I will be going to the UK rather than the US to deal with them.
Japan equalise just before half-time! Lovely build-up....
In reply to mikesiva
UK is a wealthy Country caring for much less people...I would expect their citizens to be well cared for in whatever health system they choose.
They can afford to provide greatfacilities, Dr's and nurses.
Every system has it's horror stories. Every individual can have a different experience and often times the individual plays a huge part in the experience.
Not worth arguing...no one can say for sure one is better than the other in terms of results.
Japan equalizes. Playing with confidence and reacts quickly.
In reply to mikesiva
Yes, lived in Sweden for 11 years. Speaking with family in USA, let's say they wish they had Sweden's or Canada's system. University free in Sweden too. And no 'minimum wage'. As soon as yu start work 5 weeks holiday. Won't begin to mention the maternity and paternity leave. Not like somewhere else where as soon as yu pop it out yu betta get yu arse back to work or get fired. lol
High quality of life despite what the Islamophobes, say in relation to them accepting a ton of refugees and such.
Only flashy, botox-loving Swedes flocking to USA (to go fit in), and those are such a ridiculous minority. Other than that, nuhbady, bro. NUHBADDY!!!!!!!
Ayemdull thinks way too highly of Murikkka!
In reply to JahJah
Really...? Because they do not understand how it works.
My family ha always had insurance through work and it is not that expensive.
I have never had issues getting care that i need when needed.
I know many veterans though who depend on the Government for care who die before there is a spot available to gett them the care they need!
There is room for improvement with every system, people who do not have insurance in the US simply dont want to pay for it or dont care, till they get sick.
When we first moved up here, my wife was pregnant and we had no money for care or insurance...my wife was taken care of like a queen under medicaid and with many visits to the dr. etc and baby was delivered with never a bill!
Most of you people have no idea the various programs available to Americans...
Ignorant people just spew nonsense they heard from people who have no clue.
In reply to Ayenmol
Oh, you need insurance. But wait, what's not that expensive to you...
What's the minimum wage in that country again? Y'all got a minimum wage, right?
LOL. You need to go tell that you're fellow Americans. Last I checked, that healthcare shoite is a contentious issue in AmeriKKKa.
Americans? Ignorant? You don't say? You're American, right?
In reply to JahJah
man like I said...still better place to live than most...Guaranteed there are more Swedish people in America than Americans in Sweden...Guaranteed more Canadians in America than Americans in Canada...
Also guaranteed more Canadians leave Canada for medical care in the US! GUARANTEED!
You just love to argue garbage...I have never been anxious that if i get sick in America my chances are lower than elsewhere to get the care i need!
Proof is in the pudding....You are yet to dispute that 90% of West Indians would rather live in the US than Canada....your choice not withstanding.
WHY IS THAT?
I would also guarantee there was an opportunity for you in Canada that did not exist in the US that you are not mentioning.
Because you are yet to enumerate why you chose Canada.
other than jumping on Healthcare...a Political creation.
In reply to Ayenmol
Guaranteed there are more people getting murdered in America than in Sweden and Canada...put together. Same for living on the street and uneducated etc etc.
Like them Probably more like that!
That would be your forte, son!
Who gives a shit about you?
You are dead wrong. I've never wanted to live in the USA. The path has been made easier with me being a Canadian citizen and being offered opportunities there. All turned down. No desire whatsoever. It's either EU or Canada for me.
Coz it's nunya!
In reply to JahJah
I do...which is what i based where i live on....
Of course it is...you wanna argue personal likes then fail to disclose the most pressing issue?
Please.
Donald Trump wants his strategy back.
You might be next to run for office on being an economic genius while being scared to reveal your finances!
In reply to Ayenmol
Exactly. We talking about the masses. Not the privileged you
Just because I argue a personal preference, it doesn't mean I need to explain myself in every intricate detail to a forking stranger!
Comparing a message board exchange with running for political office.
DWL. You are strange indeed!
In reply to JahJah
You are just a child or have the mind of a child...masses?
You are arguing masses?
Is that why you brought up your personal experience?
I mentioned specifically, 90%of West Indians...you made it about you and proceeded to give your personal experience.
How can you argue masses given the numbers?
Is there any argument when speaking of masses? California has more people than all of Canada but you want to single out the Bronx as representative of the US...that from someone who has never lived anywhere but Toronto, in Canada.
You made it about why you chose Canada but somehow can't say why because it is too personal?
But you want to dispute that only people who have very personal interest choose to live in Canada over the US.
You have a childish mind and think as long as you do not admit to something you are winning an argument...you are not worth discussing anything with because you are an emotional child and unable to agree on anything .
In reply to JahJah
Comparing a message board exchange with running for political office.
What does that mean?
What do you you think? That this is a game and we put on a certain game face to come on here and argue needlessly and try to one up each other to win a message board?
This is life. Message board or not. When I give an oppinion it is based on what I believe, not on kicks and childish one upmanship.
It is apparent that you claim this is a message board when you are looking silly, and it is obvious how silly you are..
No one in their right mind chooses to live in a ridiculously cold climate when they have choices ... No one .
Unless they are native to the climate or there are built in advantages to what they want to accomplish.
Ok?
I have a cousin who chose to move to Alaska...she did so because there is no other place she could make the kind of money she could there doing what she did...not because Alaska is such a great place to live, beautiful as it is.
Arguing that the masses think Canada is better place to live than America is wholly idiotic and based on a myopic detached mind that can't see anything for his childish need to argue endlessly.
In reply to Ayenmol
I'm done with you. You have no case. No point. You just love to ramble.
Go pull up another link meant to throw shade on Toronto and Canada, only to not read it properly and not see that it actually praises the Scandinavian countries and Canada, and rank them above USA (by far) in terms of quality of life etc etc.
And just to direct your attention to this, which you were also clueless about while talking up your knowledge of football.
Have a blessed day!
In reply to JahJah
You still on that...that burn you egh...I did not check?
Unlike you am fair...I posted about 5 links and the only one that had Canada ranked higher than the US was based on some obscure ranking...
But nice to see you continue to duck the pertinent questions regarding your Canada life....
Ever live anywhere else in Canada besides Toronto?
What did you decide to live in Canada?
Have you been anywhere else in the US than the Bronx?
Do you actually believe that providing medical Care for 40 million people not d the same as providing for 325 million?
Do you actually believe that the masses choose to migrate to Canada over the US?
Moron.
In reply to JahJah
Who is this player?
Identify the Black man in the photo...
Identify those two men please...
Let me see how long i'll have to wait for the Regional expert to prove his worth at his own game....
Anybody seen the blowhard el moron?
Can someone who knows him personally ask that he come answer for himself?
I know he busy enjoying Canada...or is it Toronto...the only place he has lived in the Country...
I guess that boss that he left the Bronx for riding him hard today...
Go get that quality of life el moron....Land of the free...wait what do citizens of Canada...or Toronto use as motivation?
Where the moose eat maple till they get bilious?
