Venezuelans shrug off insults, abuse in T&T
With the sun beating down on their dreary faces, having camped outside the San Fernando registration centre from Thursday night, scores of Venezuelan migrants continued to accept Governments amnesty despite xenophobic slurs hurled at them from locals.
Prostitutes, Go back home and just now you all will eat grass were among the remarks some commuters travelling along the SS Erin Road near the Achievors Banquet Hall in Duncan Village shouted to the Venezuelan migrants. The two-week amnesty, which expired on June 14, allows migrants to legally to live and work in this country for up to a year.
While many of them spoke only Spanish, those who spoke English were too shy to speak when Guardian Media visited. They would only tell of sleeping under the tents from Thursday night after journeying from places in Palo Seco, Siparia, Cedros and other far rural towns in Trinidad to ensure they were prompt at the registration centre. They showed off their documents and the numbers that were marked on their hands. Many of them were families.

Well it is amazing that the behavior of a few people could disrupt the lives of so many.

I don't know why that alterego has to be so negative toward T&T all the time,I can pull countless articles and pics of Venezuelans experiencing the opposite..
A few drunkards passing in cars would say anything..I am also very proud and heartened by this as a Trini and 99.9% of Trinis have been very kind to these people, even stabilizing and relocating them in pre paid apartments after finding them in the bushes etc en mass,e without passports and only ids in many cases, some with no ids as well.
I think T&T has set a new international standard in migrant handling, despite the negatives associated we have taken one for humanity and proudly so.
And I think Venes have to worry about other Venes more in T&T than Trinis,so far men have killed men living in the same yard and in drug deals, and over the last couple weeks two men have killed their wives, not to mention Venes killing Trinis in Arouca and St James, yet we do not complain or castigate..this stdjones guy is a real small character just looking for any negative associated with T&T for his petty agenda, thank you for seeing the bigger and better picture through the superficial and ineffective wool.
I will post some pics and articles of some recent scenes for your information and viewing pleasure sir..

This was a group of about 100 taken from the bush, hydrated, fed, processed released and accommodated cared for etc..
Scroll and you would see one of the biggest cassava you ever see.. Look at the humans faces light up and feel the hope they must feel!! From toothpaste to Listerine to shampoo conditioner and lotion they got, imagine that,in Brazil they burn their camps and chase them like animals..
Watch the short vid at the bottom of article too..
I will post an update to this showing them leaving there to go to new apartments paid for and furnished etc..

I ignore that jackass.
Here's an example of what you mentioned:
On Eid Day, I was told that every mosque delivered sermons calling on Trins to assist Venezuelans and Trini Muslim gave their zakat-or charity, to them.
Thousand of Venezuelans went to various mosques across the country where they collect alms and food.
By and large, Trinidad has opened their hearts and homes to them. For a small country, this is remarkable indeed.

Yep he's a clown,we are a different place bro,we all celebrated Eid,I made my visits and got my delicacies too! T&t will continue to show the world how to peacefully co-exist and how to be compassionate and humane,I think it's a level of sophistication not recognized ..

Wow... Really impressive stuff.
Tnt doing great things!
This is something that should be highlighted world wide.
Tnt has gone above and beyond their humanitarian effort.
I'm really pleased. Hopefully the rest of the Caribbean can come together and help assist our South American brothers and sisters.

Ain't sure, only ones here long before this and almost sounding Trini usually drive..and they should know they can't get away with that so easy here..one ran through a road-block and was shot dead by police a lil while ago maybe last year or year before...dunno if he was drunk..

They took them on an outing and sight-seeing trip ffs because there was an even at the facility that day!! And they went to the mecca of doubles too!! hahahahahahaha
"We took them to Clifton Hill beach, by the Pitchlake and at Debe where they got doubles. It was a really fun day," Wharwood said.
There were enough food and drinks to feed a hundred more people.
On Saturday, the facility was supposed to be used for a game but instead of putting the foreigners out, they were instead taken out on a tour for the day.
Even looked out for the women with unscrupulous men,in other countries they would've been ushered to such men..but no what good for us good for others.
STDJones yuh big panty-man..more to come..

This is the same idiot on my murder thread
claims that T&T newspapers are liars about murders they are quoting the wrong figures.
Strange when it suits his purpose cant post enough from the same newspapers.
He even claims T&T crime rate is owing to Venezuelans and Jamaicans innflux without proof.
He should be showing how we treat the Guyanese.
Then we come to the Imam
I ignore that jackass.
On Eid Day, I was told that every mosque delivered sermons calling on Trins to assist Venezuelans and Trini Muslim gave their zakat-or charity, to them.

Yuh murder count tell him..it's all over the press idiot..
I have showed many instances of Venezuelans and Jamaicans committing murder to counter this already, some getting killed by police also..some getting caught in robberies etc..many other instances with Guyanese too, well like dem is fucking TRINI now so is nutten..
Over the last 6 months there have been 4 murders involving Jamaicans and 10 involving Venezuelans plus police killings of armed Venezuelans, yet you don't hear T&T making it an issue ..
So low is this little prick and bringer of bad news he expects Larr to go along with his bullshit..

Young: No extension beyond Friday
AMID chaos in Port of Spain and San Fernando, with thousands of Venezuelan migrants still waiting to register, National Security Minister Stuart Young said yesterday the process was running smoothly and the registration would not be extended past Friday.
After meeting and speaking with migrants outside the registration centre in Port of Spain, Young visited Achievors Banquet Hall in San Fernando. He met with Immigration officials and some migrants. With the assistance of a translator and a bullhorn, Young told migrants to keep order while they awaited processing.

Young must stop playing riot police
...Moonilal: Govt lost control of migrant process
Oropouche East MP Dr Roodal Moonilal is calling on National Security Minister Stuart Young to stop playing riot police at the migrant registration centres. Moonilal said it was clear that Government had lost control of the Venezuelan registration process.
In a statement yesterday, Moonilal said the awful sight of Minister of National Security Stuart Young playing riot police is the final confirmation that the inept PNM (Peoples National Movement) Government has lost control of the ill-conceived and ill-advised Venezuelan registration policy.

Nick and I may have our differences but he's no way in your depths, that's a legit joke and not just a convenient position by a whore. Nick may be many things but he's certainly not a message-board whore.
