Sometimes in the heat of battle you don't realize that you've become stuck in a pattern until someone from the outside points it out to you. You are so focused on the task at hand that you're not analyzing every ball. That's why you have coaches, to spot things and let you know when to course correct and adjust fire.

Don't blame any coach or captain, even though both are terrible. The point is all of our bowlers since the retirement of Ambrose and Walsh have been headless. They are unable to bowl a length and line consistently or bowl to a plan. No captain has been able to set a field to them, It is sheer brute force and ignorance. And if they get a helpful pitch, they may do well and then everyone claims they are the second coming.

Ironically the last group of coaches that were fired seem to be doing a good job, the WI was winning matches, I liked Collymore as a bowling coach, he seem to have given the fast bowlers some good tactics.
