If India wins the WC, then Rohit (or someone like Bumrah) should be MVP. If Australia, then Starc or possibly Finch, assuming they carry on their solid form. If England, depends on which English player lights it up (if nobody, then Shakib). If NZ, Kane if he continues his good form, otherwise Shakib.

doosra 2019-07-05 21:10:38

Rohit for a 5th.

Anyone ever score more 4 in a single wc?

BeatDball 2019-07-05 21:15:44

Superhuman!
Many many moons ago he was already ranked #1 Allrounder.
People didn’t believe or buy into it.
I guess because of lack of exposure, being in Asia, etc.

The only all-rounder they discuss around here makes them go to Mars and go back to Dwapar yug..

Well, they told you it was a West Indian site, not really s cricket site.
A real fan of cricket, any sport, should be able to discuss all the outstanding performances in the world rather than just indulge in clannish hyperbole.
wink

Hope shakib gets MVP for 2019 cricket world cup. He deserves it.

Norm 2019-07-06 00:41:19

Most outstanding all-rounder in the world today. He does it with hardly any support too.

doosra 2019-07-06 13:58:29

If hitman gets a 50 today he's ahead of shakib going into the semis

doosra 2019-07-06 16:11:21

Sorry shak

But There's a new MVP in town

5 100s

solidrock 2019-07-06 16:20:55

Yes Rohit score more runs, but behind Skakib in value as a whole player

Khaga 2019-07-06 16:27:42

I think people in established cricket countries find it hard to come to grips with elite players being from countries outside the 'norm'. So Shakib gets overlooked. People put asterisks next to Rashid Khan's name. They'll be doing the same for Sandeep soon enough.

Rohit's century btw now makes him the frontrunner.

VoopsandOut 2019-07-08 18:52:40

MVP should be based on the round robin format when every team played the other. Shakib should be it as he contributed more to Bangla's performance single handedly than the fabulous Rohit has done for India.

Mr-Anguilla 2019-07-08 19:48:24

David Warner is the best batsman at this edition of Cricket World Cup.
