The death of a patriot in T&T
HE was warned of the dangers of living in Trinidad and Tobago. He was told citizens were being held hostage in a nation plagued by crime.
But Steven Boodoo wanted to return to the land of his birthto settle and work. He was patriotic and wanted to make a difference, his relatives said.
And it was here his life was taken in 2017, at 27 years old.
Police have no motive for the killing and no suspects have been arrested. His relatives are still waiting on answers.
Boodoos decaying body was discovered by a group of hikers hanging from a tree in the Blanchisseuse forest in February 2017. He had been reported missing a week earlier.
Police said the body was found hanging from a piece of rope, inside a body bag, with the feet bound. Boodoos identification card was found nearby.
His family was devastated.
