No West Indians on ICC World Cup XI
No West Indian players have made the grade for selection on the International Cricket Council's World Cup team.
The ICC named its best team on Monday with New Zealand captain and Player of the Tournament Kane Williamson named the captain, alongside six players who featured in Sundays dramatic final between England and the Kiwis at Lords, London.
Newly-crowned world champions England got four selections in the XI while runners-up New Zealand have two in the team. The other players came from losing semi-finalists India and Australia, who had two each, while Bangladeshs Shakib Al Hasan rounded out the team.
The side was selected by former players and now commentators Ian Bishop, Ian Smith and Isa Guha, cricket writer Lawrence Booth and ICC general manager cricket Geoff Allardice.
