How did Solozano make WI A with a 21 FC ave?
In reply to Narper
This boy is a waste of time and I do not understand how any why he plays for TT,there must be someone better in TT or the other islands and Guyana.
In reply to granite
Definitely not good enough.....but better than Solozano
Amir Jangoo averages 30
Tage chanderpaul averages 30
In reply to Narper
He did reasonably well last FC season. In the years before was well below average.
In reply to solidrock
So is he trending positively?
In reply to solidrock
What is reasonably well....a 28 average?
STATS - WICB PROFESSIONAL CRICKET LEAGUE REGIONAL 4 DAY TOURNAMENT 2018/19
See Tage Chanderpaul averages 33 to Solozano 28 last year
Pick Tage. At least he'll try to stay at the wicket.
In reply to Larr Pullo
I started a thread about that a few days ago, but got no takers!
Tage is someone WI can work with in the longer format. With time he could become more assertive!
The same thing could be said about K Ottley in the 50 overs games, how was he selected? A 22 runs F/C ave and a 25 runs List A ave. I guess it shows have low the standards have fallen, but on the positive side these guys could improve with the exposure they are getting.
Amir Jangoo averages 30
Tage chanderpaul averages 30
Here they go again- insular in focus, pseudo-meritocratic in character
In reply to dayne
The OECS despots join in . . . Why not focus on the many failures of this team, including JIMBO . . . I wish I had a 300 pound font
If you were to make a backup list of openers for Brathwaite & Campbell, I don't think Solozano would be in the top 3.
He needs to put runs on the board this season for T&T to keep his place for them.
In reply to Narper
Narps but they have indian names.
In reply to Narper
Passport?
I want know too. Along with how Bramble and Campbell got into the T20 team. How Bravo get an all format contract. How Allen got a contract. Bramble should have been playing the A team tests.
In reply to jen
He captained West Indies B to the Final of the Global T20 Tournament last year in Canada and was recently picked up in the CPL draft for the first time in three years and will play for his home-based Guyana Amazon Warriors.
We have been following his performances in regional competitions over the years and it cannot be forgotten that he led the West Indies B Team to the GT20 in Canada, and that team did well to reach the Final, said Haynes.
Clueless selectors
Bramble is thrown a lil bone just because they overlooked him with a 52 ave for Hamilton with a 29 ave for the WI A team
In reply to rillo
Those 2 batsmen Narper pointed out are better than Solozano and better talents, why at least one of them isn't in the A team.Did you mention they have Indian names?
In reply to Narper
Yes they have bramble in the wrong format. Not sure why they pushing Dowrich in 50 overs cricket when you have Hope and Pooran around as well. A lot of selection makes no sense.
Needs LOTS more like this to show he belongs at the FC level
Jeremy Solozano 69* (207) 7x4

Change of Selectors, however, fans still left baffled!

I was told that some of our former greats rate Solozano very high, give him a chance.
In reply to Narper
Better question - how many current players average above 4o at the first class level?
In reply to Narper
How much more? If he was Guyanese, would it be the same? Hawk and spit
Ok sorry got it- just players- lesson learnt....
In reply to Barry
yeah trini....hold fast and defend to the death the 22 average
In reply to Emir
I was told that some of our former greats rate Solozano very high, give him a chance.
And WHO are these greats??? Pray tell !!!
I would be shocked if trini greats Bryan Davis, Charlie Davis, Brian Lara, Larry Gomes, Gus Logie, Ian Bishop, Tony Gray et al rate Solozano highly TODAY....maybe as a youth player....but today????
He has been playing for 6 years....so why wasn't he a permanent in the T&T side?????
In reply to Narper
Solazano especially now has solidified his position. True he shouldnt have been there but your motives are transparent... he is now your Otis
You hated Otis without a just cause brother...
In reply to Barry
A good start for your soul
Since when speaking the truth....and producing the stats...mean I must have a motive?
What is your motive in defending a 21 average....not rank and unadulterated INSULARITY?
In reply to Barry
I exposed Opiss with the evidence...over and over...
And HOW is Opiss relevant to this thread?
In reply to Narper
How was Otis ugliness relevant to the evidence? The truth, brother-why did you dislike him?
In reply to Narper
Since when speaking the truth....and producing the stats...mean I must have a motive?
What is your motive in defending a 21 average....not rank and unadulterated INSULARITY
I don't like Solazano or Trinidadians especially, but i am always fair
But even when he made runs and saved a game almost single handidly, you continued and continued and now you resurrect threads to prove your point-I ask what drives those points
In reply to Barry
yuh don't like Trinidadians??? wow!!
In reply to B16JP587S
No different to my other Caribbean brothers-I like them all the same. Why do you twist my words, socafighter?
In reply to Barry
You don't fool anybody here..
BTW he did NOT save any game single handedly....others made runs on the very flat track at the Brian Lara stadium...I pointed out a 19 year made 218*
I resurrect this thread because he is now playing for WI president XI...and he is back to 22 average....why should I not expose this farcical selection
When Chandrika was selected for WI team....I was just as critical...probably more
In reply to Barry
I twisted your words?? You kidding, right?
Then you edited your post..
and now say that you don't like trinis especially. That's even worse than what you had before. Ha ha ha
In reply to Narper
No one can fool you because YOU SEE with jaundiced eyes and you will destroy all of us for a Chanderpaul
BTW he did NOT save any game single handedly
I said almost-You are NEVER honest
You broke the rules because of your hatred
But now you want Tage- so you will destroy everything and pretend to be holy
In reply to B16JP587S
Because i know you are slow of with and hard of understanding?
Tage betta dan Solo
In reply to Barry
no, you don't understand what you are writing
In reply to B16JP587S
Was dialect 101 your best subject?
In reply to Barry
Jaydee,hush your corbeaux rass.
In reply to B16JP587S

In reply to Barry
YOU ARE BACK ON IGNORE.
We can name call till we die. We can arrive from elsewhere and engage the foreigners as much as we like-the question is are we being fair . . . For example, can we resurrect threads?
In reply to Narper
Ok, thanks for the engagement and remember try to be fair and honest
Don't call a coach ugly because he dropped your hero. Don't try to betray others because you have your friend in the lurch waiting . . .
In reply to Barry
yuh have a lat of morality lessons to give but you need dem just as much.

Powell, Bravo can't make runs but all this man know is Solozano this and Solozano that
Drunk on the Sunday spirit leave Solozano alone- let him grow or go....
In reply to Barry
ahh shaddap and stop acting like a 13 yr old!
Where do you get off ordering people here, like a despot, and acting like the morality police?! You need to heed all the same orders and advice yourself because you need them more.
You've typed a thousand derogatory comments on Cornwall but you want, nay order, Narper to not offer his views, with stats mind you, on Solozano?! What the hell is wrong with you?!
You need some sedatives.. and you need to look up the meaning of the word "especially" too.
In reply to B16JP587S
Especially....Insubordinate and churlish...
In reply to B16JP587S
Is advice the right word, brother? Go check, nah
In reply to B16JP587S
I never said not to criticize I said be fair, if Cornwall makes a ton, I will apologize- ok Narper?

These same former players, said Ricardo Powell will be the next great West Indian batsman, and you bought it.
These people are not god, take what you hear them say, and watch the player development.
In reply to openning
Ricardo Powell okayed 1 test match
NO ROOM FOR TAGE...
In reply to B16JP587S
Apart from Hodge and Jahmar Hamilton (33), none of the other batsmen occupied the crease for too long and were unable to stitch any significant partnerships.
FAIRNESS NOT MORALITY. If most failed, why single out Jeremy
In reply to Barry
He saying he not surprised he failing.
In reply to natty_forever
i saying he is a vulture
In reply to Barry
If Solozano makes a ton I still will think there's something's wrong with you. Even If he makes 30.
In reply to B16JP587S
incomprehensible shit . . . Solazano already made two 50s-one a non out-carried his bat for the A team in the test against India A- you are therefore quite a fool.
In reply to Barry
It's incomprehensible because the air to brain ratio between your ears is too much. It's not my fault if your IQ is about the same as Solozano's batting ave.
leave the guy alone the guy overall average poor but he has done a lot better recently better than hamilton and hodge and blackwood
In reply to velo
yeah, I'm done with this. My irritation is not so much with Solozano as it is with Barry.
In reply to B16JP587S
What I have to do with you drunkard, you have two handles...
In reply to B16JP587S
Damn fool . . . you answering on a thread because of me? Yuh like man?
