Big Up Sudesh Dhaniram
In reply to navindesigns
Dhani has top notch FC hundreds against a strong Bajan and Leewards side if memory serves me correctly
I played with him in the Commonwealth League in NY.

Century against Garner and Elcock.

He would waltz into these current teams.
As a teenager living In Paramaribo, heard him on the radio playing those exciting knocks, then to my great joy came soon after to Suriname with a full Guyana X1, including Timur Mohamed, Garfield Charles and more.He proceeded to slam our poor bowlers for a fireworks century including a cover 6 that I remember to this day, making a dent in the iron railing in the main pavilion.
Years later I played against him in New York, and also against him in ICC Americas Div 1 where I had the honor of getting his wicket (USA) as well as of his Brother Sunil Dhaniram who was playing for Canada.
Still a guy I would sit and watch bat, cool character, big respect to him and also the WICB to remember him.
He also inspired me to use 3 rubbers on my bat lol

Dhaniram was an upcoming talent until he met Wasim Akram or Imran, I heard.
In reply to runout
It was Imran. I didnt hear I saw it live at Bourda. Man was nearly by the square leg umpire when Imran was bowling to him.
It was a Board XI game.

Happy that you saw it live bro.
Darn it, never knew that he was that afraid...Imran couldn't have been faster than the WI quicks then, or was he?

Dhaniram was a decent first class player but a bit short of international class. Gave good service to Guyana
Thought he got hit and was never the same after
