Bad batting or good bowling?
In reply to culpepperboy
Both.
Our batsmen don't have the technique to combat good bowling.
All of them average under 40 in Test cricket.

bad batting and a mixture of good bowling and magical pelting

Pitch changed but dat was the difference.

If WI guys complains about Bumrath pelting, that will be the end of their IPL contracts.

Good bowling! If Windies bowler could bowl like that we would have a chance!
So many clean bowled

Viv is right. Our top order batsmen have poor defensive technique. Too many loose shots. There should be no gap between bat and pad.
These guys were undone by yorkers so they can't blame the pitch. You need a good technique to dig out yorkers. Ganga pointed out that Campbell Bravo Holder and Hope all failed to get in line with the ball.
Three of them were fishing outside the off stump.

Excellent bowling which exposes poor technique. This is why you have to play a lot of competitive cricket to develop. When do our bats face anything remotely like what they got today?
It was a combination of both but top order batsmen should be able to negate some in-swing at 85mph.
Campbell & Bravo played very loose strokes.

Gangas gr8 technique did nothing for his scoring.
Bad bawling..
In reply to Khaga
I beg to differ. The bawlin has been first class.

My bad

Viv was also right to describe some former WI batsman as "headless"...that applies to many more playing today.
total system failure, for example why was Brooks batting at #3, when was the last time he made a 100, Chase can bowl but is not one to be your main spinner in a game, Cornwall is a better option.
