Holder did better in his captaincy yesterday, he was setting attacking fields and motivating his teammates, his critics should be praising him on his improvement, maybe he has been visiting this website.

Holder should be praised
In reply to dayne The bloke is doing his darnest, but facters on this MB aren't seeing, is that WI batsmen aren't scoring. Full stop.
praised for what? behaving like a cappo?
he had a template when he beat the Eng. why did he not stick to that?
In reply to dayne
Cappo Holder has to rethink his default of winning toss and bowling
Did better than last match? Maybe with the ball in his hand..Great personal effort with the ball.....but I see India with 264-5 after being sent in to bat
Can Holder personally deliver again this morning....only time will tell. Selectors have to rethink Gabriel's selection for test cricket
If Holder does not....then India will be batting till tea and a tired WI will be batting against some fresh Injun fast bowlers on day 2....and we know what can happen....we have seen time and time again
.

Rethink Gabriel for test cricket?
Is this your first series watching WI in the last 12 months?
What should be done with Hope and Brathwaite?
In reply to DIEHARD
That is another topic...and you can add Hety and Bravo too
I have no problem with Angel's bowling....I have a problem with regularly breaking down
WI won the toss and inserted the Injuns........and Angel was missing for most of the morning.....was he fit for the match?
And his 2019 stats is nothing to boast about
In reply to dayne
You mean Cornwall made Holder look good yesterday... You realized I didn't bring up my countryman Hamilton right?
In reply to Mr-Anguilla
do you see your hypocrisy?
let me guess, no

In reply to dayne
Well he did well with the ball but with the opposition at 264/5 after being inserted I am afraid that his decision to field first has not been vindicated. However cannot fault his personal effort.
In reply to Narper
With all your knowledge of how things work you think that captain Holder makes the decision to field first all by himself without any discussions with anyone else before the toss?
Holder cannot captain a side! That's a proven fact! Cornwall's body type doesn't stop him from performing! Your accusation of bias is unfounded. You guys called down the man without premis. Holder and coach should step down..
In reply to Mr-Anguilla
just maybe if you see your own hypocrisy
and your own reluctance to call out your folks when they dis other players
you might find company beyond your band

This premeditated sending in the opposition has been Holders MO for a long time....team management changed and this continues
HE is the cappo....he has to lead the team on the field of play....it is his call with some consultation with his bowlers
WI picked two spinners.....India was shocked to be sent in to bat.....the comms were shcoked....fans and the few dogs in the ground were shocked....looks like Gabriel was shocked too since he didnt want to bowl
Does he seek advise on bowling changes on the field of play? Field placings?
All the captains, Lara, Gayle, Ganga, Sir Richie, Sir Viv, in previous interviews said they never ever made the decision to bat or field first without prior consultation with the management team and the vice captain.
What makes you think that all of a sudden they will cancel that policy and allow Holder to take that responsibility all unto himself?
Get real for once !!!!!!!!
In reply to Star
Are you saying the people in team management are the DUMBASSES?
If this is the case then we ARE IN DEEPER SHIT THAN WHAT IS HAPPENEING ON THE FIELD OF PLAY
Blind managing BLIND
In reply to Narper
That is not what I am saying. It is a procedure adopted by all test playing nations.
The procedure is the same in test cricket for NZ, England, Australia, South Africa, India.
What makes Jason Holder so special that CWI management would divert from that policy?
Did you not see the interview with Joe Root where he said the decision to send a team in first is a collective decision including himself, the players and coaches based on playing conditions?
This is common knowledge in the test cricket arena.
In reply to Star
Because I refuse to believe team management can be making these ridiculous decisions
In reply to Narper
OK
