For the 2019 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), the series An Eye Out will be following the progress of the talented Caribbean youngsters involved in the competition.
In Game 2 of this season’s CPL, it was a battle of the West Indian youths, with several youngWest Indian talents on show. Though none shone brighter than Keemo Paul and Obed McCoy.

McCoy I believe is from St.Vincent &
the Grenadines . The Selectors do not
think kindly of Players from the Windward Islands , especially those
from SVG .
If anyone is in doubt , look at Sunil
Ambris .Look at Kenroy Peters , I wish
McCoy Good Luck , but I am very fearful
he will suffer the same fate as Peters and Ambris .

Perhaps as You state he may be one of the best , however I seriously doubt that they would persist with him .
My perspective is based on how Players
from the Windward Islands are treated , and it aint yesterday that this B.S is going on .
The Windward Islands Cricket Board ,
is absolutely the Worst Cricket Board in the Region , It has a long
perpetual history of not speaking up for the selection of its Players , even those who merit selection .

I like McCoy myself,the fact remains he has to kick the door down with consistent performances to get selected.

He talks about kenroy Peters all the time, but he forgets to mention that Peters was not a regular for the Windwards for a very long time. Unfair to put the Onus on the Windies selectors,when his own regional selectors did not treat him as special.

If stating Facts is being Insular then I willingly plead guilty . I stand by every freaking word I have stated here . The onus is on YOU &
OTHERS , to provide factual evidence
that what I have stated is untrue .
YOU are unaware of the fact that in preparation to compete in the Regional
4 days Tournament ; the Windward Islands Cricket Board has mandated the
Tournament to select the Windward Islands Team to be 2 DAYS .
In essence 2 days are alotted for
each game , to ultimately select the
Windward Islands Team that will participate in the Regional 4 days
Tournament .
I don't know about You , but this in
my opinion is a colossal Travesty .
Years ago the Windward Islands Tournament in the longest version of the game THE MATCHES HAD A DURATION OF 4 DAYS .
Currently it is 2 days to cram in 4 innings . The gist of what I am stating is that Cricket in the Windward Islands definitely Regressed , rather than Progressed .
This is not a figment of my imagination either . The results of this Travesty is that Players from the Windward Islands are not as competitive as their opponents in all
facets of the game .
What is very sad is the fact that the
Windward Islands Cricket Board unabaitedly continue to persist in this Charade . Cricket in the Windward Islands has Regressed rather
than Progressed .

Master Point am very well aware of Kenroy Peters career path and his accomplishments.My comment was not meant to disparage his talents as a bowler either. I think he had two things working against him when he returned from that excellent tour of England. He was never a tear away quick and we know how obsessed our selectors are with pace like fire, secondly and probably more important, was the fact that the Windwards selectors did not make him a fixture in the team. Kinda tough to blame the Senior selectors for not picking him for the Windies, when he was overlooked by the local Windward board.

In this forum I have always been critical of the Windward Islands Cricket Board for their treatment of
Kenroy Peters .
The problem is that in the Region there
exists a fasle idea that Pace Bowlers
have to be at least 6 ft tall .
The Jokers in the Windward Islands Cricket Board bluntly refused to select him , and those in SVG , in my
opinion did not give a Damn .
On one occasion , in a match in Guyana , it was stated that he had broken a part of one foot , and that was was a dastardly Lie .
In my opinion the reason why he was
selected to Tour South Africa , was to ease their minds , regarding the treatment that was meted out to him .
But as I stated despite the manner in
which he was treated in the Region , HE has prospered ; and continue to prosper . Intrestingly in other Cricket Playing Countries , they do
not select their Pace Bowlers by height . Unlike the Selectors in the
West Indies .
