I have loved dogs from I was a lil girl. My childhood dog used to follow me to school.
My last dog, Roots, was one of a litter that had mumps and I nursed them all back to good health so my aunt let me pick my favourite. She knew more of JA than many folks. She picked up at infection at 12 when I left her at the vet to go overseas to visit family - eventually I had to put her down - I cried for a month and decided I'd never have another dog again.

Dogs are simply the best. If I am gone for 15 minutes, my dog greets me as if I had been missing for 15 years.

They do love those of us who love them.
These days I feed the feral cats and tame the kittens before giving them away.

This dog is better than a lot of humans who desert their children and leave them to suffer physical and emotional abuse. Really touching video.
