"TRUMP AN ANGEL WHEN COMPARED TO BUSH/"

Emir 2019-10-10 00:50:33

Yes, the 43rd president is a better husband and father, more mentally and emotionally stable, and less of a racist or Islamophobe, than the current president. But is that really now our benchmark for making friends or being “kind”? If you’re not Trump, all is forgiven?

This slow but steady rehabilitation of the former president, and the whitewashing of his manifest crimes, cannot be left unchallenged. Bush may owe Ellen six bucks for nachos. He owes the rest of us a prison sentence at The Hague.

George W. Bush is not a “kind, sweet man.” There is nothing “beautiful” about him. He was a monster as governor of Texas and a monster as president of the United States. Nor has he become any less monstrous since retiring from politics. In September 2018, Bush lobbied Republican senators to approve his former staff secretary, Brett Kavanaugh, to the Supreme Court — and reaffirmed his public support for Kavanaugh even after Christine Blasey Ford and others accused the judge of sexual misconduct.

Beta, the don't miss the irony. Since we know Trump is horribly crooked and bigly evil, yet the writer shows he is less evil than Bush, thus far, imagine how bad Bush was.

In this evil era of Trump, let us not forget the other evil that paved the way for Trump.

At least Bush followed processes and had his actions approved 'legally' within the government and state set up...

Trump is a whole other set of stories..

He shouldn't even be mentioned among presidents..

Bush was a bad president that made mistakes costing the lives of many,Trump is just a bad person on the whole that would do anything..

bush was more than a bad president, he and his neo con pals wanted to reshape the world regardless of the cost.. we know now how badly that is going and the rising cost

Yes, Bush followed and played the politics system and he was a likable person whereas Trump is a destructor.

But the writer’s point is this, in the era of Trump, bad guys like Bush looks good and we the public should not forget the crimes against humanity Bush committed.

I just don't think Trumps presidential farce can be compared to anything with a modicum of structure ,order or process.

Added to that he will literally burn the world to save himself and himself from being held accountable,it's surreal watching that man as president..

Even president of a charity for that matter,it's like putting the mouse to guard the cheese..

Which processes did he follow - that was an illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq

As dastardly as it was it was approved by the establishment and many were on board and acknowledged they were wrong in retrospect..both conservative and liberal..

And the liberals were going in the same direction with Syria until Putin stepped in..and don't forget Libya, didn't they learn from most evil Bush similar mistakes ?

On the other hand it's possible compromised self-serving Trump probably left Syria for personal favors or debts ...

No comparison..chess and checkers..
