DJ Bravo considers T20 return
DWAYNE Bravo last played a T20 International more than three years ago, but the second most experienced player in the history of T20 cricket said he is considering a return.
Bravo, who last played for West Indies in a T20 match in September 2016, has 450 T20 matches under his belt. He is only behind his fellow Trinidadian Kieron Pollard, who has lined up in 490 matches.
Bravo, 36, has played 66 T20 matches for West Indies taking 52 wickets at an economy rate of 8.46. In the batting department, he has scored 1,142 runs at an average of 24.29.
The all rounder is happy with the decision by Cricket West Indies to rehire Phil Simmons to coach West Indies after coaching the team from 2015 to 2016.

The T20 world cup must be around the corner.
It will be interesting to see how CWI handles this and how the WI public reacts.
Everybody wants back in around world cup time.

Bravo has made it a habit to suddenly make himself available before a major ICC tournament. And he never gets picked. Kinda feel sorry for him
DJ Bravo has been BEGGING to play for the WI in the last few years....he had been royally ignored by BRUNG....in frustration and embarrassed he retired..
Entered newly elected Prez Skerrit....who publicly announced all eligible players will be considered for future selection.....and this was just before the last World cup in England
DJ Bravo made himself available but was on standby list ...and was not selected to tour.
It was unfortunate DJ had a freak accident and injured his hand and was out of the CPL.
There are international T20I teams who would love to have a DJ Bravo in their team..
But some rabid and nasty insular WI fans just want him out....only because he would keep out their mediocre home boy from being selected.
My philosophy has always been that the best available players must be selected.
In my view DJ Bravo still has a lot to offer the WI T20 team.
The WI team has won two T20I world cups when the best available players were selected.

Well said.
Pick the best team for the WC, then after the WC, a new cycle starts where you groom deserving players so the likes of Big Bravo and others can retire.

Why is everything insularity?
Most of what you say I can agree except that it has to be the best AVAILABLE team on the field at all time.
How has history recorded England letting go their best player in KP to preserve team unity? They did and in fact have become a stronger force in all formats of the game.
Now the argument may be that WI does not have the depth of players to leave out a Bravo but despite that do players have a unilateral right to play irrespective to their relationship with the board, coaches and fellow players?
Last time I checked cricket was a team sport.
