Her grand father was the first premier of Barbados.
If you travel to Barbados by plane, the Airport you touch down at, is name The Grantley Adams Airport.
A number of photo you see of West Indies cricket, is taken by Brook's dad.

I forgot Thompson was a Prime minister, seeing the post on Instagram, the only PM that came to mind, was Tom Adam.
Me bad.

David Thompsons daughter.

She is pregnant with their second child

And her Daddy was rich long time before eventually earning the PM mantle albeit briefly.

hope that helps.

So, the days in Bim, when having a child or children out of wedlock was primarily reserved for people of a certain background, and was hushed up by those of so-called “higher” standing is certainly gone the way of dodo bird.

Here in JA from Manley removed the Bastard Act in the 70s, middle class women felt free to have their children without marrying the baby daddy.

You don't even hear the word bastard on this island. It was one of the best things he did - children don't need titles than demean them.
Further there are way fewer skeletons in closets these days. People no longer need to wait until their father's funeral to discover siblings
wink

Emir 2019-10-24 00:20:36

In reply to Chrissy

Its a good thing.

That law Manley changed is British, not many people know when I was born and others like me, the law required that in our birth certificate the child be listed as "illegitimate" under the section for the father.

This was so because Muslims and other non Christian peoples marriage was not recognized as legitimate in colonial TRINIDAD, only Christian marriage was recognized.

Apparently not very accurately either lol lol lol

The whole damned system was madness - - racist elitist madness with laws written to keep them on top in perpetuity.
