Dwayne Bravo is eyeing a return to international cricket with West Indies after hailing the country's first one-day international series win in five years.

The Windies ended their long wait after victory by 47 runs in the second ODI against Afghanistan gave them an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

Not since beating Bangladesh in 2014 have they won a bilateral 50-over duel, ending a run of 15 successive series without success.

Bravo, now 36, retired from all forms of international cricket last year though has not appeared for his country since 2016. He played 40 Tests, 162 ODIs and 6 T20Is during his career.

Obviously he's no spring chicken but i believe he's still one of our better players in the shorter formats.. would be good to have him in the fold.

Barely anyone is asking for you to comeback.
Barely anyone gives a shit about your retirement or un-retirement at this stage.

Knew this was coming and it will happen. Remember on his first stint Phil made promises to all the Trini's and it blew up in his face when he couldn't make it happen and precipitated one of the events that led to his initial firing. I dear say on that alone it will happen to the disgust of many. This is just a test to determine public sentiment before full blown implementation.

Maybe it's time to bring back Fidel, Taylor,Sammy,Rawle Lewis,Shilly and Tino.

Toughest thing for an athlete to stay retired. Especially when they didn't go out on their own terms. And sometimes....even then....it's still tough

Sport is rife with athletes who stayed on too long

Muhammad Ali being the most famous example

In Bravo's case, he's still able to contribute on the field of play and is still very fit.

I suspect most people take issue with Dwayne Bravo the personality, rather than Dwayne Bravo the cricketer. Similar to Marlon Samuels in that regard.

The best players should always represent WI regardless of age, experience or nationality. So if Dwayne Bravo returns and proves himself capable of returning to national duties, then what to stop him from joining the WI team? Not like we are brimming with world beaters.

We need Bravo to mentor our T20 bowlers.
I personally would like him to return for the T20 WC next year.
