Good to see Kyle Mayers doing well in his new role as a top-order batsman. That List A century against the Leewards, the current front runners in the regional List A competition, will do him a world of good and should start to attract the attention of selectors and fans.
We all know of his ability to swing the ball immensely at times, but he seemed to lack consistency in that role in the past. He also seemed to lack inspiration, which may have been caused to some extent by being overlooked for the Barbados team. Whatever it is that is motivating him now, it should continue for as long as possible.
Congrats to young Joshua Da Silva too. His List A century for WI Emerging against the Windwards was a surprise for many regional fans. Good to see a young regional keeper who can bat. Regional fans will hope that T&T gives Da Silva the opportunity to grow.
The same too could be said about Barbados giving Justin Greaves the opportunity to grow.

Good Centuries, Mayers & Da Silva
In reply to Norm
Mayers has been doing well the entire year and was the MVP in the local T20 competition at the start of the club season OPENING the batting and bowling for the eventual champions Carlton.
Mayers can bat in the same way that Justin Greaves can but some how these guys get shoe-horned into fill-in roles. The fact is that they both can bowl but very few can ever be considered genuine all rounders. I am happing to see both of them BATTING.
As for DaSilva I like the looks of him in front of the stumps. He is tall and upright and plays the ball under his eye line. I am looking forward to seeing more of him.
Good to hear that Mayers is doing really well in local cricket in Bdos. Perhaps his luck with Bdos and regional selectors will change some dsy.
I suspect he will be very valuable all-rounder in whatever team he represents.
