HEADLINE: CWI to make Pooran decision despite ICCs punishment

The ball-tampering issue involving Nicholas Pooran might not be over. Despite being punished by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pooran must now wait to see what decision will be made by Cricket West Indies (CWI) who are expecting a report from the manager of the West Indies team Raul Lewis before deciding if to close the matter.
According to CWI’s chief executive officer Johnny Grave, the dashing wicketkeeper/batsman will not be sent home from the tour of India but will be allowed to remain with the team to concentrate on “improving his skills and fitness”.
“Nicholas is staying in India to work on his fitness and skills. The team manager Rawl Lewis will submit a report on the ball- tampering issue to the director of cricket Jimmy Adams which will be shared with our board of directors. Until we receive the report we can’t really comment on whether the matter is closed or not,” Grave told Barbados TODAY.

once again, the west indian has proven himself to be among the most ignorant of all creation on earth. Australia's reaction to ball tampering was only as explosive as it was because it was an exercise in sweeping the entire thing under the carpet. Pooran is not the first player convicted of ball tampering. Du plessis has been convicted twice, so has afridi and inzamam. Tendulkar has also been convicted of this infraction. But because the facade (which only Australians are fooled by) of hard but fair cricket was shattered, they went hard on smoth, warner and bancroft. And all the participants weren't even caught.
The editor of the Wisden Almanack, Lawrence Booth, has said Cricket Australia's investigation into the ball-tampering scandal "felt more like a whitewash" and called out the Australians for believing they had been "above the law".Booth said the reaction to the ball-tampering itself had been over the top, but that it stemmed from the way Australia had gone about their cricket well before the headline-grabbing incident in South Africa.

He was already punished by the ICC for breaching their code of conduct. Now he will be punished for shaming West Indian people ….

I read the above as a statement of fact...is it?
On a more serious note, having read the CWI President's strongly worded statement, I think a terse message has been sent to the entire team. West Indies team should now be on notice.
No further punishment need to be dished out to the young man who is obviously contrite.
