I have been keeping tabs for this potential record, 3000 run in 67 innings, Viv did his in 69 innings, only Amla got to 3000 runs at a faster clip than Hope, this is huge fillip for the young man and for West Indies cricket
each 1000 is coming faster, i pray this continues for both himself and the benefit of the West Indies

Apparently many are surprise, i saw a comment on twitter to that effect, but i am not surprised, he was also 4 runs short of BC Lara record for the most runs in a calendar year, only rohit sharma is ahead of him for this year
