Barbados is the only WI nation I know who has Irish connections/descendants.

Even the way Bajan talk sounds different from their West Indian sister nations because of their Irish connections...Bajan dialect being a mixture of West African/English/Irish

" Oiye gine dung de road"....real Irish influence in the Oiye (for I) and dung (for down).

Even some of the Irish surnames in the Ireland team doesnt seem out of place in Barbados.

Barbados: Ghana 75/Ireland 15/England 10 mixture....my opinion.

now that makes more sense.

altho if you hear Montserratians talk you would think they are Jamaicans.

the Bim accent is quite unique and harsh among caribbean accents and may have developed from drunk whitemen whether cockney, scottish and the few irish that were brought in as indentured labourers mixed with the different types of African slaves trying to speak a foreign language.

lots of irish went all over the caribbean. they were viewed as white slaves by the English

Nico Reifer look good.
One of the best youngsters, that can really bat.
The two pokers that opened, made it hard for Walcott and Reifer to develop their inning.

Bro, I have seen better batting at the local level, that was provided by Wanderers two openers.
They were not playing 50 overs cricket, and someone should take the microphone, from the kid.

It is going to take him being dropped from the test team, for him to make personal cricket changes.
