US to start collecting DNA

In Detroit, people as young as 14 will be subject to DNA collection.
The information would go into a massive criminal database run by the FBI, where it would be held indefinitely. A memo outlining the program published Monday by the Department of Homeland Security said U.S. citizens and permanent residents holding a “green card” who are detained could be subject to DNA testing, as well as asylum seekers and people entering the country without authorization. Refusing to submit DNA could lead to a misdemeanor criminal charge, the document said.

DNA not only codemns....it also absolves.
Only those with something to hide fear the law.
There is nothing personal about DNA.

And before someone jumps up and claim am an idiot for stating DNA is not personal....
The only thing DNA can be used for in the Justice system is identitying someone associated with a crime....putting them at the...scene.
There are criminals that have been caught because their relative submitted their dna....and thus due to the fact 6hat dna is passed on that person was identified based on the dna he left behind simply because of the dna of his relative.
As more and more peoole sibmit to 23 and me and other similar programs.....it will all be traceable.

If they were deciding today that they were going to fingerprint all green card holders....you all would go ballistic.
But they do. And you all accepted it meekly.
So as soon as we commit a crime and leave that behind we are caught.
Yet natural born people can get away with leaving it all over until they actually get caught.

All you can hope is that THEY keep it private.
They know uour acconts....the money you have....where you got it....they can take it away, freeze it...man you all act like you naive....or you just do not know whats out there.

Or how exactly they going to surveil you by dna that they cant already do more accurately by online use and electronics.

What is unique about dna that provides any info that will tip the scale negatively against any individual?
Dna is another way to identify you....same as finger prints...same as dental records....same as blood type.
Dna is used for medical issues and does of course contain hereditary info....so?
You think having it puts you as a law abiding citizen at a disadvantage?
Because all I keep hearing is how dna testing is resulting in minorities who were falsely accused getting their lives back.
So tell me.....what exactly is this negative that I should jump to join the fear machine on?

Point is...it is useless to make an issue of collection of dna.
The Government has access to medical records when applicable....any dna info collected by the medical community is part of that....which is becoming more common.
They also have access to all these dna mapping private businesses and you can be traced just by a relative....as oposed to your fingerprints that can't be traced by a relative....thus it is less personal for this purpose.
DNA is used to find certain things about you....but nothing that can be used that is not already part of other databases.
Plus if anyone wants your dna they can get it for 20 bucks easy....just pay your server.
Or break into your house.....check your garbage etc. Etc. Etc.
But you have a bunch of people who just jump up with fervor everytime something changes with little thought to reason.
