The team should set a goal for Tage, it should be that he need to average one run per over, it is ridiculous the way he just blocks and blocks, that is not cricket.

Whose complaining? I am being entertained by Picasso.

nah only top score.all them Leeward bowlers in pain this maning?

Tage should really open and play some shots...this kinda cricket is a waste of time
The way Tage bats makes no sense. He simply cannot get the ball away to any where. This cannot be situational batting. He is an opener. Guyana selectors are either blind or afraid to touch him due to his surname. This cannot be called batting.
It is strange that some of the senior players have not advised him that he will not get to the next level in cricket by blocking, spectators go to the cricket ground to be entertain, especially in these times, action and drama is a must.
60 off 243. Give up the game Tage. Pick up chess or something.

If you cannot make runs vs this 2nd string Leewards attack missing Aljo, Cornwall and Walsh Jr then might as well you hang it up.
In reply to voiceofreason
If Leewards dont make runs against Mudland without Paul and Sherpherd....dem should hang it up too
Walsh plays for Bim....BTW Wash is mediocre at the FC level...and has been playing for 8 years

350 runs is enough to beat the Leewards by an innings and some.

Smith seems to have a big bag of tricks, in addition to a very economical run up and good pace. Quite an addition to the regional pool of pace men.
In reply to doosra
That red man does eat a lot of food.. ah stayed at the LBI hostel couple times with dem.. man does knock bout 6 bake and so one time.. if he reach to the kitchen before the other players food done

Albert Smith son is Nial
In reply to doosra
Trinis might wanna take credit for him because up to last year he was playing club cricket over there
In reply to doosra
Oh, OK. He disappeared when Sanasie and company took control, I believe.
In reply to anthonyp
what is Albert up to these days
they claim credit to shepherd yet?
In reply to doosra
Think he coaching his local club in Berbice.. they don't even give the man one of the local franchise teams to coach
When Keemo and Shepherd return, Keon Joseph will have to sit down again.
In reply to Norm
Albert was on the other faction i think hence sanasie
In reply to anthonyp
that;s poor treatment of a national coach
Permaul to bowl.
In reply to doosra
I see your boy Foo gone to Trinidad to play a t20 tournament with a Guyana team..
Look out for Quentin Sampson another Keemo Paul type cricketer from a Amerindian village call Caria in the Essequibo river for a 19yr old he got serious power and bat speed.. he grew up on bumper ball too
Scores:
Malteenoes All stars 209 for 8 (20ov)

what is this caria lad doing
Bishoo to bowl. Call Courtesy fass fass!!!
Starts with a patented long hop. A series of long hops - one walloped back for 4.
Leewards batsmen ran off the ground without telling anyone why. Finally, the Guyana team leaves too.
Leewards 125-5 in the apparent close!
In reply to Norm
they should be given out
it's not even raining...they just took off
In reply to doosra
Another medium pace allrounder in the making.. was one of the stand-by players for Jaguars in the super50
In reply to anthonyp
he played guyana u19 ?
In reply to anthonyp
is the village caria caria along the essequibo river?
In reply to doosra
By Fort Island, I believe
In reply to doosra
Yep.. he made stand-by for Guyana U19
He scored couple quick hundreds for Police last year and had a good franchise tournament with Essequibo.. think he had the most runs for them plus he took some wickets including a 5fer..
Man like his bumper ball though.. probably one of the best bumper ball players in the country
In reply to anthonyp
he could pick up some good skill from bumper ball
i miss my playing days
In reply to Norm

In reply to robbo
Yes... just got Hodge lbw .. neither batsmen moving their feet against him at all... he looks interesting..nice rhythmical run up and action.... good turn of pace and so far good
He has good basic raw ingredients. With his mechanics and a more rigorous fitness program, I could see him being a consistently over 140 bowler.
the state of west indies fc cricket is poor
Lol a batsman just leave alone a ball from Smith and his middle and off stumps went for a walk
Paceeeee.. now a brilliant yorker to de new batsman from Smith!
5fer on debut for the youngster!
Leeward 133-8
This Smith youth can bowl a cherry! What a ball!!
In reply to anthonyp
He looks better than your boy Pestano.
In reply to mikelegend
My boy Pestano? Partner yuh know how long I calling for them to drop Pestano.. is couple years now Pestano got a bad knee and they keep picking him.
Because of his bad knee his pace dropped from 90mph to mid 70s-80s.. before his knee injury Pestano was really good.
Smithy picks up his 6th
Too many shots from Hamilton.. Leeward 154-9
In reply to anthonyp
Ok, because I remember you saying something about Pestano bowling at 90mph. When I finally got a chance to see him bowl, he looked military medium at best(he did have good accuracy). He was getting a bunch of wickets locally, but I couldnt see him scaring anyone at international level. Sorry to here about his knees.
all out
LEEW 154 * (47.2) ALL OUT
Nial Smith 16.0 4 55 6
In reply to mikelegend
Pestano picked up most of his wickets before the injury.
In his first super50 tournament he picked up a hattrick against Red Force star team that included all de stars.. he was consistently clocking high 80s to 90mph de man finished with the most wickets in that tournament.
Instead of resting him and allowing him to fix his knee the clowns continued to pick him and now he is military medium at best
In reply to anthonyp
is he not getting attention for the knee?
In reply to anthonyp
Thats very sad. The guy seemed to be able to hold his own with the willow too.
In reply to mikelegend
he is a capable cricketer
i hope he is getting attention
is he still on contract anthony/?
In reply to doosra
He's still on contract with Guyana Jaguars.. think he on the 'C' contract.
As for the injury I was told by some of them fellas that he need surgery and he probably won't be the same bowler after.. instead of doing the surgery he decided to rest it and try to see how long he could go.. since then with the amount of cricket he played the injury get worse
NIal Smith the big wickettaker in now.

180/1 after 55.
In reply to voiceofreasonNot nice VOR!
Thomas gives it away! Stewpss!
181/2
Thomas gone for 15.
Story of Devon Thomas' career. Looks good and has all the shots but always plays these rash shots! Head no good. Anyways still like him at # 3.
Keacy gone what kind of shot was that? A hook shot in no control? Looks like this youth wary against pace.
186/3.
44444444444444 Hammie! Careful now! Too aggressive sometimes. 193/3.
Hodge's stout resistance ends 62 odd 204 balls. And another failure at conversion. Good knock but did not get it done!
195/4 after 65. 40 runs still to make Guyana bat again. Right now its about saving the game. Don't want to lose any more wickets. Keacy Carty and Thomas played irresponsible shots and I hope they are giving a stern talking to.
Come on Jaison we know you can bat so its all about self belief.
Jaison out just guiding a ball down leg. Good catch by the Keeper. Need someone to stay there with Jahmar!
From 170/1 to 201/5?
Jacques Taylor gone 202/6. Looks like a dodgy decision but he is a goner.
