Who do you like? With all the money on the table difficult to see the possibility of rigging not being a distinct possibility big grin

Last time I read something about Guyana I heard Granger said that he would name Prime Minister after the elections.
What does that say?
It says to me that he done win the (s)elections as he doesn’t really need a soup drinker or sell out from the other side as a sham, or a Rumjattan or a Snakemoottoo! lol lol

Well actually there is an newspaper article " PPP wants bloated elections list for the elections" where they are accuse of wanting unregistered people to vote in the upcoming elections, so that is one way the an opposition party could do it, I was trying to post the link but I was not able to, but you can Google it. It was written on Nov 2nd 2019.

The opposition may want bloated voter lists, but is the responsibility of the current government to ensure that the voter list is properly compiled. It would also be very stupid of any party in power to knowingly let the opposition forge the voter list.

That is a perspective from the current govt. They want to to remove wholesale large swathes of names from the lists(PPP supporters??). The PPP insist that each name must be verified to be valid/invalid before removal.

Which approach seems like an attempt at rigging to you?

Well according to the article, there are over 25 thousand people who have never picked up their National ID cards that are on the voting list, so the Elections supervisory body are contesting if they are real people.

Nice to see a link to that article.

To just clear out people that the current govt "suspects" are not real does not seem sound.

It would be a far lesser exercise to verify those 25000 people than the country wide house-to-house registration previously imposed by same govt.

Lets not forget that the list the Granger admin is trying to cut and trim, is the same list that was used to put them in power in the 2015 elections.

How come it was good then??
