is it an acquired taste?
Most people drinking beer for the first time (any beer) don't like the taste.
I'm willing to bet that if you drank Bud light for 2 weeks, it will become one of your favorite beer.

Is Heineken really that good or

I think the first times drinking beer you have to get used to it.
After you've had beer on a semi-regular basis you are more likely to develop that ability to discern between which beer you enjoy the taste of more.
Heineken and Guinness both come to mind for that reason (also Carib, in a way).
By the first time I had Sam Adams or Stella, I was better able to enjoy the beverage as a whole.
I've never had a Bud Light but I have enjoyed a Coors Light.

I prefer Heineken Light

I bounce back and forth between bud light, Coors light and Miller lite and I enjoy all of them.
What about Guinness stout? Is that acquired taste?

Kill the horse!
Ok, I'm not original with that one but I just think it's worth repeating.
Beers (lager) are horrible.
Guiness is a stout, I love it. They had two other stouts from Jamaica back in the day. They were Dragon and three man stout, they tasted horrible.
If only people would make the effort to acquire a taste for what is good for you....
Never like beer....as described above...did not like the taste.
I refuse to acquire a taste for something just to fit in.
As a teenager i tried a cigarette too....hated that also.

Guiness Draft is damn good, but very filling.

I don't drink to fit in. I drink because it makes me feel good in the moment. Hell it is even great in the big moment after the moment, if you know what I mean.

I don't get the filling thing, isn't all beer filling?

If you are acquiring a taste for something....then you are allowing peer pressure or some other pressure to lead you.....How many vegetables do you not like but decide to acquire a taste just to remain healthy?

Ok, time for my Guinness story.
Back in NY in the middle of the summer I decided to have lunch at a Blarney Rock (or Blarney Stone, can't remember which one).
They had the Guinness Draft which looked very enticing on the hot summer day, so I ordered one. When they asked what size, I immediately responded 'large' without knowing what constituted a large. When the monster glass came I was in shock.
Well being me, if I'm going to pay for it then I'm going to drink it. After returning to work all I could do for the remainder of the day was move paper around on my desk. Luckily, no one caught on.

All of them. Damn when I go Jamaica I even drink the damn scirrosy tea (don't know how its spelt).
I think 2 Guiness now and again is safe. I drink a glass of red wine at dinner during the week. I hear that is good.

I don't love guinness but i do ty to drink it every so often...and i do think it is better than beers....I do not like many wines either....but i will try to drink some red wine from time to time because it is good for you...and i have acquired a taste for a good merlot again because it is good for you.
I did drink a mango beer at the Budweiser brewery in St. Louis....it was very good...no acquired taste necessary.
Also, fresh beer is sooooooo much tastier....it could be that the sample was small...but my wife....who loves beer ... could not drink it while i enjoyed the fresh samples.

Nah I can sport on Heinekens, Modelos, Coronas whatever but not Guiness maybe three or four tops in a sitting.
