HEADLINE: Gayle slams Sarwan, calls him 'a snake' in explaining Tallawahs departure

An angry Chris Gayle has described Jamaica Tallawahs Assistant Coach Ramnaresh Sarwan as a snake and a backstabber in a series of videos in which he explains the reasons behind his move from the Jamaica Tallawahs to the St Lucia Zouks for the 2020 CPL season.
The Jamaica Talllawahs chose not to retain Gayle for the upcoming season, which facilitated the move to the Zouks where he will play under the captaincy of former West Indies captain Darren Sammy if there is a 2020 season.
In the second of three videos posted on Youtube on Monday, Gayle said he believes politics was behind the decision not to retain him and thinks the Sarwan was partially to blame.
The global T20 star said he signed a three-year contract with the Tallawahs in 2019 because it was his intention to end his career wearing the Jamaican colours of the two-time CPL champions.
Gayle suggested that Sarwan after failing to get his support to be team manager turned the owner of the franchise against him. That situation along with some Guyanese politics resulted in the Tallawahs’ decision not to retain him for the upcoming season.

Gayle said he almost had a big punch up with the pros of the Tallawah team at the final game of the last cpl season. He call the meeting and blows were almost exchanged. His words not mine.
So the following season would you not think changes are coming for the good or bad involving that franchise? Or as the controller of the universe things will stay the same.

The current owners of the Tallawahs have a massive problem.Chris has poisoned the rank and file Jamaicans against them and they are likely to boycott the team. The statement that Chris attributed to Sarwan that the Tallawahs have too many Jamaicans was designed to ensure that the Jamaican public would turn against Sarwan.
This was an extremely destructive rant by Gayle and quite frankly puts the ownership of the Zooks in a bind.Quite frankly the best solution is to have no CPL this year.

Chris is not dealing well with not being the center of attention. He better reinvent himself when he finally retires, otherwise he will be miserable.
From my perspective, its quite disturbing how he uses media to sway public opinion whenever he feels aggrieved. He's fully bought the 'Universe Boss' hype I guess. Even that I find disturbing....why refer to yourself by that name.

Guyana politics is and will always be a cesspool. Don't know if you fellas recall the brouhaha around Sarwan when he refused to play in the "Indian Only" cricket match in Guyana back in the early aughts. Now it seems as if Gayle has pissed off the "Indo supremacists" in Guyana and they are using their influence to go after Gayle. I'm sure Doosra could expand on this some more...

chris gayle shoud retire if he is the captain and cannot practice. This is not a good example for the team if the captain not coming to practice.
gayle is all about himself and this universe boss thing. He have no right attacking the oversease players. he need to earn their respect not demand it. He needs to practice like everyone else.
Then why did gayle dissed sarwan for the manager position but was ok with jeff miller. Do jeff miller have experience as sarwan in cricket.

I felt compelled to come on here to see what this diatribe of Gayle was all about, having embarrassingly heard it as a news item here.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of this, Gayle should stay out of cricket for a while and spend some time maturing as a human being. And people should just stop reporting what he is saying. Its giving too much energy and publicity to his poor behavior.

Franchises all over the world are owned by outsiders so that is a rather foolish statement about the Guyanese taking over. Why didn't a Jamaican purchase the francihse. this was a business decision and Gayle thinks that he is bigger than the game. He is not. Lara was not. Chanders was not. No one is. His childish actions can incite riots. Could have been handled differently.
