Calm reasoned analysis of Gayle's outburst
In reply to Dukes
So you think Gayle understood that?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
NO
An average of 30 in 13 tests for our current test batsmen would signify they are in top form ...
I agree with the author that the franchise should have better communicated its decision to Gayle
That said....isnt the author also engaging in speculation that the business and cricketing decision is due to Gayles age and recent performances?
The author called for evidence that Sarwan was the instigator behind Gayle not being retained. Fair enough
Where is the authors evidence regarding the explanation given for Gayles departure from the Tallawahs?
I dont see any quotes from anyone in Tallawahs management in that article providing any specifics.

What evidence are you looking for?

What does business and cricketing reasons mean? What criteria is used to determine that?
That was the official statement by the Tallawahs and nothing else. Deliberately vague aka Corporate speak. And weve been conditioned to accept that as good enough

And we can't accept Jamaican patois. We term it as 'thuggish' and 'retarded'.

You cannot win for losing, when dealing with cricketers in the region.
Otis and Simmons was upfront with Chanderpaul. they are still being call names.
The Tallawahs was not upfront, Gayle is blaming every Tom Dic and Sarwan, and not the management.

Business reason-He cost a lot of money as the FRANCHISE PLAYER.He is 40 years old and is he worth it?How did he do last season and how did he help the team last season. Can we use the money that we are paying him to get a younger player who will help the team do better.
You want them to list all the reasons why they decided they would be better off without him?
In reply to imusic
Did Gayle not refuse to accept a lower salary? I guess that is business and cricket reasons.

Lets see, he mangement and owner released Gayle, so Gayle reasons that it must have been the Guyana visit(could not have been any other reasons)..must have been Sarwan who caused it, because some people who know Sarwan disrespected him (these people had no mind of their own), Sarwan got him sent home 24 years ago(for watching TV too late, Sars had a lot of clout), Sarwan wanted to be head coach (which he is not), Sarwan asked for curfew (must have been directed towards Gayle).
What Gayle knows is he had been released by the good guy Kris Persaud who would never do such a thing to him. Why is Gayle sucking up to Kris..hhh.
