In reply to Khaga

Thanks for the opportunity to relive history.

The last part of the video is very interesting. Sir Hillary stated quite emphatically at the time that there has been a value change exhibited by young West Indies cricketers from one of idividualism to a team concept, yet the current administrators (Skerrit et al) have departed from the noble aspirations of those young cricketers and brought back the very same individualistic cricketers who promoted this "I" culture which is anathema to the previously stated goals of their predecessors.

Skerrit et al have made a 180 degree turn on the vision and values as previously espoused by WICB and this is why I will vehemently oppose them now at every turn.

I will never under any circumstance, support the involvement of the very cricketers who sought to body slam West Indies cricket while pursuing their selfish interests and without any iota of consideration for our cricket development.

Finally, I am aware of your motive to sow the seeds of division in West Indies cricket but the video was prophetic and instructive enough to elicit a comment from me.

I say no more and have absolutely no interest in the current bitches brew now being concocted and exhibited by those recalcitrant cricketers in full view of a stunned cricketing public.

Sir Hillary has since become a resident Yardie, and has revised his views as then stated.

Please let the good Professor continue to live in peace in his new abode.

Dem Yardie pu$$y could adapt, even corrupt, anyone.

Be careful you don't try it.

Money is not a sin as Khaga knows- all great cricketers like money- Sachin, Kapil, Sourav.... they like money even now. Those foolish West Indians who turn up their noses at money die in poverty and shame...get sent back to these wicked islands... or take it out on their wives... razz

Well said. I have minimal trust or confidence for Skerrit et al. Still shocked that older Bravo is back in contention to play for WI. He should be kept miles away from WI cricket.

What selfish interest. You so your tiny islands could get the exposure they never get with the exception of when hurricanes ravage the region every year? Absolute rubbish. CLR James once said that if we in the region cannot pay our players the remitences that their skills demand, then we do not deserve them. I had no problem with gayle and co going to get the money the WICB or most of the private sector in the region could not give them.

Now it makes sense to me smile I don’t remember ever seeing that speech, But I recall listening to an audiotape of a Beckles speech that was given in Antigua or some nearby island.

Gayle is such a . . .

Yuh remember the time of the Flamingo story when Gayle appeared at Sabina Park with the Baltimore/Washington area TV personality on his arm? The best thing ever happened to the guy and he couldn't make it stick. evil
