Fast bowling great Michael Holding has alleged misuse of half a million US dollars that BCCI donated to Cricket West Indies besides raising serious questions on the financial management of the game’s governing body in the island nations.

On a YouTube show, Holding displayed the audit report of Pannell Kerr Foster (PKF) on cricket governance in the Caribbean and raised several red flags. He also touched upon the donation CWI received from the Indian cricket board (BCCI) for the benefit of its former players.

“Way back in 2013-2014, the BCCI donated half a million US dollars specifically to go to past players. I am a past player, not that I want any of it but I know a lot of past players, I have never heard that not even one cent out of that half a million going to any past player.

I find it interesting that None of those in the Region who profess to be
Sports Journalists got the Scoop .

This definitely buttresses my claim
that most of those in the Region who
claim to be Sports Journalists are metaphorically in Bed with the Worst
International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth.

Michael Holding was given the information , because the person who
gave him the Scoop , did not trust
the Frauds in the Region who claim to be Sports Journalists had the testicular Fortitude to publish this
matter .

It obviously buttresses the point I
have been making for years in this
Forum that there is definitely collusion between the WICBC/CWI &
those in the Region who claim to be Sports Journalists .

It is this unholy alliance why Our
Players and Teams are not as competitive sa they should be in the
International Cricket Arena .

The purpose of any Entity is to exude
not only Transparency , but also to
devoid improper dealings that are going
to put the Entity into disrepute .

This aint Rocket Science Folks , Once
an Entity or a Person in an Entity goes down that Road , metaphorically
They are sailing down the River of No
Return .

Quite frankly it means that THEY have
allowed their Reputation to be stupidly compromised . The honourable
thing to do is to resign ; to save One's Reputation & Good Name & the Reputation of the Entity .

This is precisely why I am of the opinion that the WICBC / CWI must must Publicly state Mea Culpa , and undergo very Serious Structural Changes .

Michael Holding is in essence throwing a Life Line to the Members of the WICBC/CWI . The salient Question is will the Members of the
WICBC /CWI willing to hold on to that
line ?????

Time alone will tell . However in my
opinion , WE also cannot let the many Frauds in the Region who profess to be Sports Journalists off the Hook .

THEY also must bear some responsibility for being the willing
Tools of the Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth , aka the WICBC/CWI .

This matter has seriously tarnished
their professional reputation ; and
solidified my perspective of them .
They also need to apologise to the
General Pubic .

My take is that if they were not tainted , THEY also would have been
given access to the documents that were given to Michael Holding .

However the fact that they were not
privy to the Documents , in my opinion speaks volumes with regard to
their Reputations .

In this Forum , I have continuously
stated that those in the Media have been and are enablers of the excesses
of the WICBC/CWI for many years .

It aint that I am taking a Victory Lap in this matter ; I am saddened by
the fact that Those in the Region who
claim to be Sports Journalists have
been for years the Enablers of the
WICBC/CWI , to the detriment of West
Indies Cricket .

This is precisely why I believe that it is very Urgent that the governance
of Cricket in the Region Must undergo very Serious Structural Changes .

In this Forum I have been stating this since 2003 , when I joined this
Forum ; I have been , and am strongly
of the Opinion that the governance of
West Indies Cricket needs to undergo
very serious Structural Changes .

Since its inception over 100 years ago the WICBC/CWI has bluntly refused
to change its Structure . Despite
bamboozling the General Public by
commissioning several Reports that have not yet seen the light of Day .

Where are my Critics Now ???? They can Run but they sure as Hell cannot hide .
Around 15 years ago , In this Forum I
recieved a P.M , from someone who stated that there was a WICBC Subcommittee Meeting , and the Person
who was the Chairman of that Committee was not notified or invited to that SubCommittee Meeting .

This is but one of the Reasons why I am of the belief that there Must be
very serious Structural Changes in the Worst International Cricket Board
in the Commonwealth aka CWI .

I find it alarming that the WICBC/CWI
is over 100years old , and the Jokers
in the Region who claim to be Sports
Journalists utter nary a word about the fact that those in the governance
of West Indies Cricket , bluntly refuse to change its Structure , despite commissioning several Reports.

Imagine that it took a Former Great
Player, Michael Holding, to blow the whistle on the excesses of the WICBC/CWI after recieving information regarding the excesses WICBC/ CWI .

The person who gave him the information
could have gone to the regular Jokers
in the Region who claim to be Sports
Journalists . But He/She apparently
did not Trust them; this absolutely
no doubt is an exceedingly bad & sad commentary on those in the Region who masquerade as Sports Journalists.

I am not about to take a Victory Lap ,
I am saddened by the fact that Our Players and Teams are not as competitive as they should or can be
in the International Cricket Arena .

Unfortunately it is the modus operandi
and collusion between most of the Members of the WICBC/CWI and their
Friends in the Media that have brought
West Indies Cricket to a New Low .

In my opinion it will be foolhardy at
this juncture for the Governments in the Region to give the WICBC/CWI
Tax Payers without the latter factually demonstrating that it is very serious regarding strict adherence to ALL Principles of Good
Governance .

I am on record stating that the Governments of the Region should apart from lending their Stadia , should collective donate money to the WICBC/CWI , However the Governments in the Region Must have at least 2 Members on the WICBC/CWI to ensure that the Taxpayers Money is being well spent .

When any Entity has demonstrated that it is incapable of exercising Good Governance , It must be supervised one way or another way . It is that freaking Simple .

The WICBC/CWI has demonstrated that it is incapable of exercising Good
Governance .

Exhibit 1 . In its over 100 years old
existence , the WICBC/CWI has bluntly refused to change its Structure . This is despite the fact that it has
commissioned several Reports , and on
receiving those Reports the WICBC/CWI
has done Nothing .

Exhibit 2 . When International Matches are played in the Region , It
is Taxpayers money that is used to pay for Policemen to be at the venues
where the Matches are held .

Therefore in my opinion , The Governments in the Region MUST have
representation on the WICBC/CWI .

For many years now the WICBC /CWI has
demonstrated that it is unfit to be in the governance of West Indies Cricket from every concievable angle.

It is high time that the Governments in the Region have a Discussion with the
WICBC/CWI , regarding West Indies Cricket .

That in my opinion would be in order
because the WICBC /CWI has no Stadia
that can seat most persons who go to
see International Cricket .

While it may be true that the WICBC/CWI
owns a Cricket Ground in Antigua , I
seriously doubt that Cricket Ground
alone can hosts all Cricket Matches
and be Financially successful .

One of the salient Questions that must be asked of the WICBC/CWI is this : What has happened to All the
Reports that it has commissioned over
all these years ?????????

It is high time that the WICBC/CWI be
made to understand this freaking fact:

CRICKET IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS THAT

REQUIRES THE BUSINESS OF CRICKET TO

BE TREATED VERY SERIOUSLY .

It is very apparent that those in the
governance of West Indies Cricket are
blithely unaware of this Fact .

Correct is right

The man who loved WI cricket so much had no problem whatsoever accepting a $50,000 "honorarium", and seeing money given to the players vanish almost without a trace!

And, look at the salaries those CWI top guys give themselves - more than highly paid professionals make in the USA. Plus, the honorarium! The top paid WI players struggle to make even half as much as the top paid CWI officials, while the lower paid cricketers make a pittance by comparison.

Just like the estates of old ... you get almost nothing to begin with, and when massa go broke, you pon you own ...
