If you start a thread about something contentious (like religion or race), you quickly get 100+ hits, with plenty of passionate posts. Start something constructive and you bare get a response.
Just shows that we are not of a constructive mindset. We prefer to develop the "victim culture" and become beggars in the world than to earn our living fairly.

Nice! I copied the page into a wordprocessor file and will add the ones on this thread to it.
Strikes me... We Yardies like to think that we're full of proverbs, most of which are often thought to be of West African origin. But it looku lakka seh oonu beat we, to rass! I see many that are the same or similar to ours, some that we use a different set of words to imply the same significance, and others that are entirely new to me.
NB:- I'm no expert on Yardie sayings, and I've discovered that proverbs vary from one locale to another; no one knows them all.
