Cricket West Indies (CWI) has paid tribute to Sir Everton Weekes, the legendary West Indies batsman. He died on Wednesday at his home in Barbados. Sir Everton was a member of the famous Three Ws – which included his other famous team-mates Sir Frank Worrell and Sir Clyde Walcott.

“He had an amazing legacy as a great cricketer and great human being. He was one of the most humble and decent persons you would have ever met. I want to take this opportunity to publicly express our deepest sympathy to the family of this remarkable gentleman, who passed away earlier today,” said Ricky Skerritt, President of CWI.

Royalty.

Can you caption that photo.?What could they be having a good laugh about?

It has to be during the 1950 tour of England.

Can you recognize any others in that Photo?

The guy behind Sir Frank looks like either Gerry Gomez or Franz Alexander.

Which team is it, 50 or 57, was Alexander part of the 57 team.

This is the 1950 team.At the far left is Goddard, then JM Kidney (manager) Worrell, Weekes, behind Weekes is either Gomez or Stollmeyer - suspect that is Gomez, then Ramadhin far right is Walcott. Ram was very shy, Gomez more or less took care of him , my guess is that at a cocktail party Ram would be sticking pretty close to him.
