West Indies coach Phil Simmons has pinpointed five or six overs during the course of the second Test in the Raise The Bat Series at Old Trafford, that were the catalyst for the visitors ending 113-run losers.
The West Indies began day five of the second Test with the ball and a 214-run deficit, but were quickly put under pressure by the big-hitting Ben Stokes, whose, quickfire unbeaten 78 ballooned that lead to 311 with just 11 overs played.
“For me, we lost control of the game in five or six overs with the new ball yesterday evening,” he said. Read more at SportsMax

The game was lost when we characteristically collapsed from 242/4 to 287 all out.

You should not be calling anybody a fool.Your only problem with the team is the exclusion of Cornwall. As far as you are concerned the team would be fine if Cornwall was in it.
If you could take off your insular glasses, you would be able to see that a team that loses a test match in 4 days needs better batsmen and when ALL the batsmen have the same weakness it is because of a systemic reason.
Sadly I do not expect you to address the problem but to attack me.It is par for the course.
Reasoning and Logic are in very short supply on this board.

ok, so the batting isn't great, but when you put a team in and they declare at almost 500 runs, your team is under pressure. The bowlers were not that great in this game, sorry.

There is nothing Simmo could do to make this side better. The bowlers did not have the control in the last session on the 4th day and was very off the make on the 5th day. Despite that, it was a easy draw for the WI if the batmen applied themselves. They are talented but lack discipline and the "know how" to draw or win test matches. WI have been here many times before since this problem is going on for many years.
