Yet men were advocating dropping Dowrich for Hope?

That is part of the difference between the two teams, over the three matches WI played four specialist bowlers, England played seven. After the 1st Test, the over -used WI bowlers could not get England out below 350 runs.

Was impressed with Chase on the tour.Have always had a soft spot for spin all rounders.
The batting holy cripes was bad. That Campbell guy has no idea where his off stump is or how to smother swing early on.Can cover drive , but that's about the only thing he can do right.

Luckily their next opponents might have an even worse batting lineup than they do.

Now that the Poms have sorted out that top order , jeez they're gonna be difficult to beat in a series barring excursions on the subcontinent.

In reply to mikesiva blackwood had a better series that his avg suggest he could of been not out twice. kraig was either 50 or nothing and brooks looks like theres something to work with. both chase and holder had an ordinary series with the bat and thats been kind. dowrich got found out after a good run and both campbell and hope showed they dont belong at this level. i think roach was not full enough so he bowled that pretty lenght without much success and Gabriel was over bowled and he had a few catches drop off his bowling

The entire batting lineup failed, except the 2 batsmen that averaged above 30 (Blackwood and Brooks). Four bowlers (Chase, Gabriel, Holder and Roach) were mediocre, with 2+ wickets per Test but with bowling averages above 30. The rest failed.

You do not win a series with such performances.

Some of us have already started splitting hairs over our favorite players, so do not expect any improvement against teams ranking higher than WI.

We also failed to develop any new talent, even if Da Silva got some time keeping unexpectedly in the third Test. That, of course, never seems to be part of our Test plans these days. Our Test performances are characterized by desperation, even before stepping on to the field.

The thing that disappoints most is that we haven’t learnt anything.... no new players developed...the one ‘newbie’ was Cornwall who to me does not look test class (I fully accept he has time to change this).... all that has happened is confirmation of the very serious shortcomings of most of this side... particularly the bats...to be honest all very predictable.

no one trying to defend no player paint should be dropped also but we dont have openers that is really knocking on the doors and dowrich was poor with the gloves i dont think he is a good keeper at all but over the past 18 months he did well with the bat so to drop him after one bad series is harsh

Kraigg wasn't great, but he was better than Campbell. And we don't have many openers making a case for themselves in the last FC season. So, I'd drop Campbell, and stick with Kraigg for now. I would also put Dowrich on notice, during the next series, which might be South Africa this autumn.

Our bowling wasn't bad, so I wouldn't necessarily drop a bowler. But here are the Test batting averages of our current lineup:

1) Kraigg Brathwaite 33
2) John Campbell 25
3) Shai Hope 26
4) Shamarh Brooks 33
5) Roston Chase 30
6) Jermaine Blackwood 30
7) Jason Holder 32
cool Shane Dowrich 29

At this stage, I would drop Campbell and Hope for the next Test series.
