Jack says he is going to win

So indicated a confident Jack Warner, the Independent Liberal Party’s candidate for the area, minutes after casting his vote at the Five River’s Hindu Primary School in Arouca.

Ask by the Express about whether he had decided on his next move if votes in the General Election turn out to be 20-20-1, with him capturing the deadlock seat, he responded:

“The votes shall be 20-20-1. There’s no games about that. That shall be the result. And as I said publicly on the platform I won’t decide because, in terms of representation, I have to go back to my constituency and my party and get from them a direction. It can go either of three ways- either UNC, either PNM, or I could say listen, if you want to get my vote make me the head of the Government. And of course whatever I do would be in the interest of Lopinot/Bon Air West.”

get them Jack....

Jack is seen as a fraud and opportunist in today's T&T. He will be lucky to win 500 votes so he is dreaming of winning a seat. If you betting on him winning that seat you have money to lose

100,000 plus unemployed, debt to GDP ratio increased from 42% in 2015 to 74%, crime at an all time high, rapid increase in Covid cases, ease of doing business decrease from 62 in 2015 to 106 currently, decrease in corruption index from 72 to 94, inflation increased, poverty rate increase from 16% to 24% currently, foreign reserves decrease from USD13B in 2015 to USD7.9 currently, HSF decrease from USD7B in 2015 to USD 5B currently, borrow $70B in five years, spend $335B in the last five years, $70B more than the last Govt and have nothing to show. After all that this disrespectful, deceitful, lazy, lying man in the words of Ancil Roget feeling light. How pathetic. Vote in mass people this is not the right choice.

OK Trini's pick the best out of a corrupt bunch. Good luck

From what I am hearing things seems to be running smooth. Voters are calling in to radios stations and they are praising the ECB.

Even the biggest critics in the talk shows are praising the ECB.
A real mature democracy at work here.

I expect the official result to come in at 8 pm and a swearing in the morning

As electors continue to came out in their numbers to vote, no discrepancies was reported this far to the People's National Movement in at least three constituencies in south.

Chaos at Gulf View Community Centre

Attorneys representing UNC candidate for San Fernando West Sean Sobers are planning to write to the Elections and Boundaries Commission returning officer to rectify some problems at the Gulf View Community Centre which houses three polling stations.

As part of the COVID-19 regulations only one door was being used for electors to exit and enter the facility, but this triggered a bottleneck which lasted for hours.

When Guardian Media arrived on the scene, the lines stretched all the way to the Gulf View Link Road. Hundreds of people stood under umbrellas in the sweltering heat.

"Our candidates in several of the marginals are in the process of filing for recounts, because the numbers are so close the recounts can be done. Only then can we concede or claim victory. So that's the way forward for us.

In any election , recounts are normally asked for. What is the big problem?
