Pollard:
We''ll field first. We have couple of changes. Pravin Tambe comes in for Javon Searles. Narine misses out. We don't look at things like that (about the favourites tag). We don't go about things like that. Have to take it one game at a time. Need to be calm. The track is a bit slow and dry, will assist spin and that's why we have picked an extra spin.

Sammy:
They play good cricket, but so have we. Would have liked to bowl first, as it's damp and there might be some help for the bowlers early on. But toss isn't something we can control and we need to bat first, and bat well. Mental toughness in our group and coaching staff has shown in the way we have bounced back. One change - Cornwall is back in.

Pitch report:
"It's a new surface today but there isn't much difference from the track used yesterday. This appears a bit moist and there is that dampness due to the ongoing showers in recent days. It shall be a bit slow. Batters will have to be sensible to get to maybe 150." reckons

9.58am Out come the Zouks openers - Cornwall and Fletcher. USA's Ali Khan has the new ball
Aaliya Sohail K: "Resting Sunil Narine may unsettle the entire batting unit of TKR"
Sajid: "Isn't Tambe contracted with KKR for this season? How can an Indian play overseas leagues when he is still playing IPL? " -- Oh, no, his KKR contract in the IPL got cancelled since he had played in a T10 league in the UAE. It was an administrative error on the IPL organisers' part that he was added to the auction roster.
9.48am How good has Roston Chase been for Zouks? Here's their captain Daren Sammy talking about how he's been the perfect foil for them, especially since Shoaib Malik couldn't play this year
Azweer: "Tambe, turns out to be an inspiration to many 80s & 90s kids who wants to take up cricket a profession more than passion.."
Sooryanarayanan: "One player who has silently impressed without the spotlight on him is Scott Kuggeleijn. He looks very fit and energetic, bowls at good pace but has also worked on his slower delivery very well. Plus, we are yet to see his tonking capabilities this tournament."
For those who don't know who Pravin Tambe is: he's a legspinner who, as of today, is 48 years (yes, you read that right) and 323 days old

It is not difficult to understand the difference between Andy Roberts and Dwayne Bravo.
Andy Roberts is an all time great fast bowler who in the mid 1970's was one of the best fast bowlers in the world.Dwayne Bravo was and still is a fair all-round cricketer who works hard and has done as well as his talents permit.
Andy knows how good he was and as a result is arrogant.None of the current fast bowlers since Ambrose are in his class and he knows that.
aMost people who are good, know it but try not to appear arrogant because it is frowned upon by society. However every now and then it slips out.Andy could not care less.

Ritesh: "The TKR players seem to be determined to give DJ Bravo full chance of claiming the MOM award by getting him to bat too."
Five overs constitutes a T20 game - so three balls left for that - and for TKR to win, they should score 40 (39 for 4 is the par score)
Gururaj: "This kid Chemar looks something special. Hope to see him in the long format pretty soon for WI.. "
AlistairDiamond: "I have always thought that in truncated games sides should lose available batsmen. It's much easier for 11 men to score 60 in 5 overs than it is for them to score 160 in 20 overs. But if 2 batters were removed per 5 overs lost, then things would get interesting. Here, for example, the Knight Riders would have 35 to get in 30 balls but with only 2 wickets in hand, as opposed to 6. It would make a difference!"

Williams to DM Bravo, SIX runs
He's picked this up beautifully! Bravo's 100th six in CPL! How bout that. Both the brothers have a record to celebrate today. Slower ball again from Williamson, but Bravo is ready this time, holding his shape better, even though he is made to reach just a tiny bit further than he'd like outside off. Still the ball soars off his bat, over deep midwicket,

Sooryanarayanan: "With Harry Gurney ruled out of the IPL for KKR, I have a feeling that the replacement is someone from the CPL roster. After all, Brendon McCullum is the coach of TKR. My guesses - Naveen Ul Haq, Kesrick Williams or Kuggeleijn"

2.20 pm Dwayne Bravo. He's 36 now. And he's still desperate to be out there. Plotting the downfall of batsmen half his age. Teaching bowlers who now look up to him because of the career he's put together, through adverse conditions, through injury, through trouble with the board. To last 14 years in this game, and pick up 500 wickets - the very first player to ever get to that mark - you'd have to push past all sorts of obstacles and he's done that.
But funnily enough, he ain't ready to stop. He'll fly to the IPL after this. He'll turn up any place a team that wants him will have him and, next year, he'll probably be wearing his favourite maroon jersey at a ground in India, running in with the ball with the T20 World Cup on the line. Incredible player.
Aside from his landmark, he pushed past it to get wicket no. 501 too, his team put in a stellar performance, restricting the Zouks in a game where they knew rain was expected, and then they just cruised the chase.

It's a great result for us," says Man of the Match Dwayne Bravo. "Zouks got off to a very good start in the tournament. We're happy with the win. Man of the match, but it's important for the team. As the rain was falling, Sammy and I was talking, every time we play, it's a rain affected game"
I guess I have to say congratulations to myself. I think the entire nation, a lot of people have been saying congratulations. It's a great journey. I want to stay fit, to keep taking wickets and to keep enjoying the game"

Take note,he was also a good test all rounder and if it wasn't for the spiteful West Indies cricket bosses Bravo could had career in all formats of the game successfully at that, for your record of 500 wickets,BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO.

Sammy
"Congratulations to Bravo. I saw him during the break and we had a chat. What he's done in this format of the game, he's been a pioneer for us in T20 cricket," Daren Sammy says, "[Over-reliance on Nabi?]I think in a team, if someone is in form, most of the time they get the chance to bat in the top five. You want them to continue., But with that said, you need performances coming from different individuals. It's something we'll speak about. I thought up front, before Bravo came on to bowl, we were going 8-9 runs an over on a difficult pitch. Bravo's two quick wickets put us back and as soon as we thought we had a partnership, in comes Pravin Tambe and then the rain comes. So anyway, that's what I told the boys, we fought well, we'll dust ourselves off"

"When T20 cricket started, we thought it was a joke but now, everyone wants to play it and Bravo is at the top, with 500 wickets. We as West Indians are very very proud of him," says Kieron Pollard. "And now he's at the stage of his career where he's mentoring the next generation. Oh it's good, sometimes you'll have to help your friends as well [on Pollard being the man Bravo has dismissed the most times in T20s]. The way we gathered our squad, we have kept the core of the team, couple of guys go out, couple of guys come in, they have hunger. Every person has a role here and when they get the opportunity they know exactly what to do. That's why we succeed"

I refused to look at 20/20 cricket when it first started,it took about 2 years before i looked at the IPL.The same IPL has transformed the lives of Caribbean cricketers.

Yes and it has given opportunities to many many others who wouldve been unknown because they couldn't make West Indies and other national teams.
It has totally changed the dynamics of cricket, now anyone could become a millionaire if he could hit sixes or bowl tight.
They dont have to be at the mercy of some board of old geezers and play for peanuts..
And then there's the marketing appeal..
T20 is the premium cricket of today..
