Brendon McCullum: Trinbago Knight Riders will be highly competitive 'anywhere around the world'
Trinbago Knight Riders have surged to six wins in six games - with or without some of their key players - in CPL 2020. Opening batsman and spinner Sunil Narine missed Knight Riders' last three games because of a "bizarre problem" and former captain Dwayne Bravo was also rested for the game against reigning champions Barbados Tridents at Queen's Park Oval on Saturday. In that match, Knight Riders were left needing 87 off 44 balls with five wickets in hand, but current captain Kieron Pollard unleashed a calculated assault - 72 off 28 balls - to keep Knight Riders' perfect record intact this season.
Knight Riders' coach Brendon McCullum, who had also featured as a player for the franchise, attributed their success to the vast experience and depth in their squad. Pollard, Bravo and Narine themselves have played over 1300 T20s among them. In addition to the trio, Knight Riders have internationals Darren Bravo, Lendl Simmons and Colin Munro, who have all played match-winning hands in the league over the years. Knight Riders have also had tosses going their way on the tiring tracks in Trinidad.

Colin Munro, spinners continue Trinbago Knight Riders' flawless tournament
Trinbago Knight Riders 184 for 4 (Munro 65) beat Jamaica Tallawahs 165 for 6 (Russell 50*) by 20 runs
Trinbago Knight Riders' unassailable tilt on the CPL continued in Tarouba, as Colin Munro's 65 underpinned the second-highest total of the season before their spinners sucked the life out of Jamaica Tallawahs' chase to leave them with seven wins from their first seven games.
TKR scored at breakneck speed at both ends of the innings, Munro and Kieron Pollard hauling them up to an imposing total after Sunil Narine's 11-ball 29 had set the tone. The Tallawahs never looked like getting near chasing 185, and the margin of defeat would have been much greater but for a consolatory 65-run partnership between Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaite with the game effectively gone.
The Knight Riders' only concern at this stage will be the precedent of Guyana Amazon Warriors, who won 11 games out of 11 before losing last year's final, not least with a straight knockout format in the final stages this season. The Tallawahs, meanwhile, are locked in a three-way fight with Guyana and Barbados Tridents for two semi-final spots.

take it a little further and have your head examined.
"TKR playing with their best team playing their best cricket" is meaningless.

Was T&T Redforce using their best players meaningless in India?
It showed the talent the Caribbean had.
PJ is saying metaphorically that the local players are a force to be reckoned with worldwide when playing in any tourney.

Red Force nearly won a tournament in which the elite t20 teams in the world participated. A tournament where that team changed how t20 cricket is played. Teams rarely got 40-60 runs in the powerplay before Red Force and NSW Blues. And the results showed how uncompetitive the CT20 tournament was. If we got back all our players and the other teams got foreigners to increase their quality, we would still win

TKR and Trinidad and Tobago is not the same. there are very critical components of TKR that is not Island grown.
but having said that if I read the knightriders organization correctly , soon, if not next year, Russel and Pooran( Island peolpe) will soon be on the TKR ticket
Poran is the young trini base ( hence the sheding of Ramdin) and Russel to continue the internationliztion/keeping key personell of the Knightriders family close.
