Doesn’t matter, he just allowed him to be used by giving Trump a propaganda gift, just with less than three weeks to go before an election.
What the hell he thought could be practically done at this stage? A hope and a promise. Right now Trump would promise the moon in hope of getting a few more black votes at this crucial stage of the campaign. In his appeal to those black male votes he’s aiming for, Ice Cube handed him the gift he want.
As for Ice Cube’s contract for Black America, all he got was the attention he craved.

This is 2020, and black Americans are fighting the same fight of 50 years ago.
Dems or Repubs, didn't matter, same shit, different party.
Now the people with most to gain are telling black people who to vote for.
