I have noticed how quick the analysts are to speak ill of the WI players and suggest their non-selection after a few failures. Russell, Cottrell, Narine and Gayle have all been suggested to be left out the stating 11 while advocating for overseas failures such as Maxwell, Stokes and Bairstow to be given more chances based on their reputation. Had Gayle failed in one match thus far there wud be cries to leave him out. He hasn't failed and there are still cries to leave him out despite KXIP winning all three matches since Gayle's inclusion. I was just listening an episode of Mute Me on ESPN Cric Info and based on Tom Moody's arguments it suggests that Fabian Allen is being punished for missing the plane to the CPL as he needs to be taught to be professional and on-time. It does not look like he will be getting a game in the IPL. I understand all the backlash he has gotten for missing that plane and rightly so but to continue to punish him for it seems excessive.
