The guys have talent, definitely.

They are probably too contented and not hungry enough. Despite the dismal showing on this tour and the many reactions and over reactions on CCC; this I know from past evidence:

1.Pooran is one of the most talented young batsman in the world.

2.Hetmyer has the physical gifts to develop into a world class batsman.

3.King is a genuine attractive player with unlimited potential.

4.Fletcher is a reliable contributor at the top of the order.

5.Oshane Thomas can develop into a genuine strike bowler.

6.Keemo Paul is a good cricketer and more than a steady bowler.

And then you awoke...and none of it is real...only a dream

Now the fact that they are all mostly playing poorly at the same time doesn't all come from the same causes.

1. Pooran just hasn't got in yet. He should have batted three or four last night. When he came in he just had to go for everything.

2. Hetmyer, lets be honest, his decision making and maturity is under question. So, then why put him to bat at 3, the most pivotal position in a t20 innings. The player at 3 is mostly responsible for steering the innings. Why give that role to a suspect decision maker?

3. King needs to play four day cricket and develop his all around game. T20 alone, which is all he have been playing will destroy him.

4. Oshane Thomas needs to be put on a mandated exercise and diet regime under the supervision of the board.

5. Keemo Paul will find his way back sooner than later.

Fletcher actually performed well so far. Pooran got good ball in the second game, had no choice but to swing in the second. Hetmeyer has talent but is a dunce. King needs some sessons of FC cricket under his belt. Oshane has pace, real pace....you cant beat that. Im sorry, i dont see anything in Keemo to suggest an extended WI career

so continue to pick players that are talented, without providing a structure to develop them.
It is over 25 years, these talented players one after is kicked to the curve, without getting the teaching like other International cricketers get.
I continue to hear the PM's of Grenada and SVG saying, Cricket is a public good, is there money spent in these islands or all the Islands in the region, to assist players?

Keemo is a good cricketer, he needs to play a lot of cricket like Bravo did early in his career. He missed the England tour, I can't remember seeing him in the CPL and he sat on the bench in the IPL. I don't need to prove it, he will prove it himself in time.

If you measure talent by club cricket then these guys are very talented.

But there is a good reason why you are seeing what we are all seeing when it is no longer club level.

Gayle, Samuels, Narine, Bravo, etc were all legit at the highest level. This is why we won 2 T20 WCs. But with the exception of Fletcher those guys are young and can easily improve.
