These are the types of puzzles that most lawyers should be good at. I remember these types of questions on the Law School Admissions Test.

It appears these two conditions make these puzzles much easier to solve.
That gives us Casper's 6 and 9 right there.

But I made a huge mistake that allowed the 7 to get between the 6 and the 9. I will do better next time

413 Nothing is correct
Not possible to eliminate anything based on the first clue. The second clue eliminates 4 and 1 from the first clue, so we know one of the digits in the code is 2 and that it is also the first digit of the code.
We already know from the first two clues that 2 is the first digit. We also know from the second clue that 3 is not one of the digits. So based on the third clue we know that 5 will be one of the digits and we know from the first clue that the 5 will have to be the second or third digit.
We know from the second clue that 3 and 4 are not part of the code. So 7 is part of the code and it must be the second digit because 2 is the first digit (clue #1) and 7 is not the third digit (clue #4). The only place in the code left for 5 is the third. Code is 275
This clue is not necessary, but confirms that 7 and 5 are in the code but 7 is not the first digit and 5 is not the second digit. Recall that 1 is not in the code (clue #2)
One more:
234 Two numbers are correct. One well placed and the other wrongly placed
567 Nothing is correct
564 One number is correct and well placed
401 Two numbers are correct but wrongly placed
124 Two numbers are correct. One well placed and the other wrongly placed
